Skating in just under the wire. I had too many paying opportunities I had to finish and almost forgot poor Zephyrus. Who doesn't like a gentle breeze?

I started a short poly story a sequel to my Weekend Under the Stars It's currently non explicit and is something of a complete thought but I'm not quite sure I'm happy with it. On the other hand I know it'll be weeks before I'm ready to do anything more with it so here you go, hope you enjoy it.

Night Breeze

The wind off the sea coated his senses in salt. Sitting on the edge of the pool, Malcolm turned his face into the gentle breeze. The solar-warmed water swirled around his ankles as he leisurely kicked his feet. Maybe he should come out to the Hamptons more often. A sense of peace settled into him but it wasn’t always that way. Turning he glanced back at the house and knew what the difference was. It was when he was alone he struggled.

In the back of his head, Malcolm had known that. When he spent time with Jackie and Gil, he had been happy, probably the happiest he’d ever been. Harvard had been the best time of his life; Ainsley had been wrong, in part, when she weaponized his cutting their father off. It wasn’t his best time but close to it. No, at Harvard he had made friends and had been his most peaceful but he’d been bad at keeping those friendships; he hadn’t held onto any of those girlfriends or boyfriends. When Vijay put their break up on his suspicious intense nature, it helped to crystalize a few things for him. It wasn’t all on them and their judgement. Some of it was on him and Dani was right. He could be fixed, at least in part, now that he knew the problem.

He shook himself, stretching out his arms to catch more of the breeze. Why was he thinking of things like this? He had just spent the best night he’d had in a long time. He should concentrate on the happy memories. Leaning back on his elbows, Malcolm gazed at the sky. Stars still twinkled but they’d fade soon as false dawn crept in. He had a good hour left of the darkness though.

Hearing footsteps behind him, Malcolm twisted around and broke into a huge grin. Tally padded across the porch toward him while JT leaned on the doorframe. “I didn’t mean to wake you.”

“It’s okay. I thought you’d sleep through the night.” Tally reached down and brushed his cheeks, her fingers as light as the breeze.

“That’s not his strong suit, hon.” JT sauntered over. “Nightmare?”

“No, you’d have heard that! I woke up, wide awake so I came out here hoping not to wake you. I failed.”

“It was a sweet thought.” Tally slithered out of her nightgown and walked down the steps into the pool.

She reached up and took his hands, giving him a gentle tug. Malcolm slipped off the side, slithering into the water. Tally wrapped him in a warm embrace. JT joined them, catching Malcolm from behind. He skimmed his big hands up Malcolm’s sides. Malcolm dropped his head back against JT’s broad chest, allowing himself this relaxing moment.

Malcolm cast his gaze to the heavens. He lost himself in the sea of stars and the wonderful touches of his two new lovers. The breeze caressed them all.

And have some music. I've always found Aeolian harp music interesting.

And apparently Chopin shared my intrigue with the Aeolian music

I love that you were able to use the prompts to work on some original stuff!

The wind harps are really something. I hadn't listened to any before so that was a really cool share.
