I had my eye doctor appointment. The good news is no diabetic eye changes. The good and bad news is I have cataracts in both eyes but that isn't all bad. In a few years I can have them removed and the fake lens would have my prescription built in and I can toss the distance lenses.

I bought new glasses with bifocals and contacts and it's all very expensive so whee.

I definitely over did it yesterday. My knee is murdering me and made lab very difficult today. Then a coworker's mother passed unexpectedly today which is sad of course.

Got home to find another 3 mile ride in an ambulance was TWO THOUSAND dollars and they billed medicare. I DO NOT have medicare. I need to call them. Is this one trip? Multiples? Who the fuck did they bill? I'm not paying this without big investigation and I feel like i should a) call that home and point out HOW expensive this is to clients because they have no transport. b) tell medicare that's how this home is handling it c) write an expose for the columbus paper

The one good thing for the day, a friend drew me a picture of Malcolm Bright (points to icon) and I got the portrait today. That was so sweet (it's a get well gift)

Congrats on no diabetic damage, but boo for cataracts and needing new glasses AND contacts. Glasses alone are super expensive.

Sorry your knee was barking at you yesterday.

Ugh, medical expenses. The insurance industry et al need to DIAF.

Yay for the drawing! That's really sweet.
