cornerofmadness: (Do not want)

So I called Medicare to tell them about this Dana in Texas issue and medicare constantly coming up as my main insurance. THe lady I spoke to very pissily told me that it was IMPOSSIBLE and I had to be wrong. After arguing with her for a while, I told her to call Critical Care ambulance service, Westminster Thurber assisted living and Grant Trauma hospital and they will ALL tell you that this is happening. Why the fuck would I lie about this? What would I possibly have to gain? I did ascertain that in theory no medicare exists for me and it shouldn't affect me down the road. I'm not sure I believe it.

Remembering that the last person I spoke to back in PA suggested I might need to talk to social security about this so I called them while mentally murdering a medicare call center employee. She DID find that the other Dana exists with my exact name and birth date (and all the same medical issues) but she is not hooked to my SS#. She had no idea what was going on but she believed me unlike the other one and didn't call me a liar. She had no suggestion other than when I go to new doctors/hospitals to be sure to tell them I DO NOT have medicare. SIGH.

And my knee went sideways, literally. It bobbled bad. I didn't fall and it doesn't really hurt but it made me sad.

On the upside, I got stuff graded, laundry done, hit the Y for 20 minutes on the bike and I dusted my bedroom and moved a crap ton of stuff on the bed stand. I found a couple things I need to donate. I do not want them and one of them attracts dust which is my biggest allergy.
