waking up an hour before the alarm, dreaming about my parents' yard with some Batman/Robin scenario (in which I was the Robin). It's weird until about a year ago I never dream of my parents' place.

I get to work and there has been a mouse in my desk drawer at work (he hit a couple other offices too) and my classroom was 96 degrees. It was horrible. I was dripping sweat.

My online test has gone terribly awry and I can't get it to fix. I'm calling IT on wednesday about it. So I'm so frustrating.

I made it home to find Malcolm was playing in the yard with the neighbor's kids. He ignored me entirely. Brat. I went to the Y after that and came home to a no-kids Malcolm who was my best friend again. Eye roll.

I called the parents to find out that 2 family friends have died in 24 hours. One was suffering terribly with cancer.

Not an auspicious start to the week.

They can really be very...enterprising...can't they?

I'm sorry to hear about the deaths. :(

You know, I've been thinking about this: maybe it might be hazardous to adopt him and have him around your feet. In my experience, though, having cats and their tendency to hamper really made me *more* cautious when walking around--you know?

And I think it would give you something to think about that moves forward. I think that might be very helpful for you right now, Dana. (hugs)

What a horrible, no good, very bad day!

I hate having to clean up after mice - emptying drawers, washing everything, and cleaning out the drawer itself before spritzing it with clorox water . . . Such a pain in the butt.

It's awful that your online service for exams etc has been so terrible.

You mentioned your dream, and I recall that you have some doosies. I had one the other night that is still creeping me out. I don't remember all the details about WHY or HOW this happened, but I had part of the dream early on, then just before I woke up my mind revisited it, which is why it's so strongly in my psyche. (I think of it when I lay down and am like how, why, dnw!!!) I'm going to skip some lines so you can ignore it if you want to. It's very disturbing, at least to me.

For some reason, someone or some evil entity made someone else swallow a baby. Whole. I'm not sure how that happened, or why. I have this vivid 'memory' of the person running around, screaming, and trying to throw it up. None of it makes sense! Which is probably why it was (and remains) so disturbing.

It was SOOOO disturbing. I don't know where that was hiding in my brain. I'd like to bury it again, please.

Dang, that sounds not like a fun day indeed! *sympathies* I love hearing about Malcom, even if he behaves less than gentlemanly!

Bleah, rodents. Maybe you can take Malcolm to work and make him earn his keep. :D

Ugh, I hate mice. They are the worst.

My condolences about your family friends. It's been a hard year or more for you. {{{hugs}}}
