What a day. Can't get ahold of the bank in the morning. Get involved in editing a story and almost end up late for work. In going to my car, I find out the hard way I've forgotten to zip up my file folder. Splat, school stuff all over the drive way. I break land speed records getting to work. I get out of the car and find out the hard way that my purse isn't zipped. Splat, purse contents all over the drive way.
I get in to work and my computer starts up funny. I put in the jump drive and the system crashes. It came back (thank God). Go to the secretary's office to make copies. She informs me that HR called to say they're holding my contract because I haven't signed any paperwork. WTF I handed it to the head of HR herself on the first week. Call HR they can't find anything and deny I even called them when I broke my tooth. Bullshit. I can even tell them what they were doing when I called. They're now looking for my paperwork.
Call the bank. Luckily my money WAS transferred into the right account because the teller DID change the numbers around when she put them in. I have her drawer # on the recipet and gladly provided it to the manager of the bank who is equally irritated as to why when the teller obviously recognized the checks were wrong allowed me to leave the bank with them. I'll still have to go get counter checks tomorrow so I can pay bills.
Is hiding under my desk (since this is my 11 hour day at work as is) acceptable behavior?
