Last night my roommate says want to see something creepy and at nearly midnight that's ominous in and of itself. I go outside and she shows me this ENORMOUS spiderweb It from roof to ground, ten feet? more? and there's a huge assed spider sitting in the middle of it. Unfortunately it's too dark for a photo and she says this type of spider eats its web at daybreak and disappears. Damned if it didn't.

Then I walked into a different spider's web leaving for work. NOT the way to start the day.

I was just emailing Bush with my usual environmental concerns via denlines and I no sooner hit send do I get this message

Thank you for e-mailing President Bush. Your ideas and comments are
very
important to him.

Because of the large volume of e-mail received, the President cannot
personally respond to each message. However, the White House staff
considers and reports citizen ideas and concerns.

In addition to President@WhiteHouse.gov, we have developed White House
Web
Mail, an automated e-mail response system. Please access
http://www.whitehouse.gov/webmail to submit comments on a specific
issue.

Additionally, we welcome you to visit our website for the most
up-to-date
information on current events and topics of interest to you.

I.e. your email was immediately sent to a void never to be seen again.

Oh hell no but I was shocked with the SPEED at which it happened. I figured a few minutes delay. This was nanoseconds.

Ok that's pretty fast...

My friend who's a Canadian and living in Seattle for work purposes has gotten three pictures of Bush & his wife, thanking him for being a charter member of the Republican party, which is weird because he's not Republican and he definitely doesn't belong to the party. Hearing this and your story makes me wonder just exactly what is the American gov't spending their money on.

God you DONT want to know where our money goes. Every night we have a new gov. money wasting scheme on the news. It's pathetic. Don't get me wrong. I love my country but I don't like much about the politicans.

I think that's universal... Right now I live in a province, where the gov't isn't a majority. Well that's a misleading statement. It isn't a majority because I hardly count the other party that got in with two seats as a minority. Yes, my province decided that having one politcal party in office, would be a good thing to do....

Don't even get me started about the national politics....

Yeah trust me I'm with Ben Franklin, three things you don't talk about with friends, money, religion and government. It's a real quick way to end a friendship
