cornerofmadnessSo I saw the dermatologist today. Pretty sure Dr. Tiwari is 18 years old. Seriously, he can't be long out of residency. He was more amused by me than anything since I'm like I have 1001 things you need to look at and btw I know what they all are except one. I was right about all of them.
But even he's perplexed by the same thing I am. I have a spot at the bikini line that started when I still live in FL 20 years ago. It was like the other dermatofibromas I have, starting with either a puncture or ingrown hair. Lately in the last few years it suddenly started getting much bigger, red and it's dipping deep, like something under it is collapsing. There are things that can cause it (like cutaneous Chron's) He agreed with my thoughts on it, it needs surgically removed (it is painful too)
From there I went to a new to me smoke house had a really good (if a bit pricey) smoked pastrami sandwich and went back to the Rost coffee house to try and write. I am falling SO far behind on nano. I'm not sure I can catch up. Kohl's had halfway decent shirts on sale and I bought some holiday gifts at TJ Maxx plus nonsense I didn't need but wanted (looking at you bejeweled cloth pumpkin and wood salad bowl with acorn decorated spoons, both on clearance). They had some really nice Christmas junk.
I also went to Great Seal State Park in Chillicothe OH in the Covid memorial grove. It's called after the storm and it was done by one of my fellow profs Kevin Lyles.I think it's beautiful.
I dropped in at my library on the way home. There was a Big Foot talk I thought about going to but at this point I was feeling off. I went to my favorite Mexican restaurant. Over ate. Regret it now because those chiles rellenos have given me SO much heart burn.

allbingo it's a monthly bingo prompt community, low pressure, fun to do.
Snippet- (from an early chapter than last night) “I’ll take Dan. You take Grace.”
“And how are we deciding who goes into the creepy basement?” Grace wrinkled her nose.
“Coin flip.” Dan dug a quarter out of his pocket. “I’ll take heads.”
“And whoever it is goes into the basement,” Howell said.
Dan flipped the coin. Grace swore when it came up tails.
“Fine but if we get eaten by whatever is lurking down there, I’m haunting you, Dan.” Grace leveled a look at him.
“What did I do?”
“I’ve seen your skills at quarter bounce. You can probably make that quarter do whatever you want.”
“That is so not my magic.” He laughed. “Enjoy the spider webs.”
“You suck.” She wiggled a paint-stained middle finger at him. “Let’s go, Howell and hope whatever’s down there doesn’t make you live up to your name.”
“I’m pretty loud,” he assured her.
“Good to know.” Al ogled his bum-hugging jeans. Dan nudged her toward the stairs.
“Make googly eyes at him later if he’s not monster food.”
