I'd be broke and I'd need an upright freezer. The only other thing I did was go see Lucky Uncle and his wife. They gave us two huge bags of shells. God knows where they came from but the parents use them in landscaping so that's where they're going.

Challenge #5

In your own space, tell us about 3 creative/fannish resources, spaces, or communities you use or enjoy. (One or two is fine, especially if you're in a smaller fandom or like many people at the moment, fannishly adrift right now) Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

This wasn't easy as my computer is new and discord keeps saying it emailed my password reset but hasn't so nothing there (but most of those are dead too). Most of the fannish stuff I know are once a year ficathon sort of thing except for [community profile] comment_fic which is a daily prompt community (on LJ)

All of the rest are on DW

[community profile] fandomtrees A holiday multi fandom exchange

[personal profile] spook_me a halloween picture prompt comm that I love

[community profile] fandomtrumpshate a charity auction where the money goes to charities that fight hate, climate change

[community profile] intoabar this is an once a year writing challenge where you take two characters from two different fandoms and they meet in a bar.

[community profile] unconventionalcourtship this is an once a year writing challenge where you take romance cover blurbs and write a romance

[community profile] wipbigbang this is an once a year writing challenge where you try to finish one of your WIPs. I find it very useful

I didn't put out my fanfic of 2022 list (I will if someone really wants it) Instead you can have my AO3 stats meme right
1. How many words have you written this year? - 259368

2. How many works did you publish this year? - 77.

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)? - Bound by Fear , Digging Up Bones , &
Ignis Aurum Probat ,

4. What work of yours has the most hits? - Bound by Fear , Digging Up Bones , and a little help from a friend which makes me roll my eyes as that’s a porny bit of nothing I did for comment_fic my one and only Venom story A Little Help from a Friend

5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected? Do you mean comment threads? Bound by Fear , Digging Up Bones , and A Confession of Pain . Not a shocker as they are my long fic and people read by chapters

6. Favorite title you used – ugh almost none of them. A Confession of Pain and Drinks with the Devil aren’t horrible

7. If you use song lyrics, which artist’s songs did you pull from the most? – this past year almost none at all.

8. Pairing you wrote the most for this year? – Hmm it was a lot of gen fic this year but I do have Malcolm Bright/Dani Powell Malcolm Bright/Vijay Chandasara, Gil Arroyo/Jackie Arroyo, Gil Arroyo/Jessica Whitly, JT & Tally Tarmel, Connor/Faith, Buffy/Angel, Luz Noceda/Amity Blight

9. Favorite pairing you wrote for this year? – Multishipper here, I don’t generally choose but if I had to say which was my favorite story with a pairing this year it would be Forbidden which shockingly is an AU not my fave thing

10. What work was the quickest to write? – all the comment_fic ones as they’re written in a day. There were a lot of them

11. What work took you the longest to write? - Bound by Fear , Digging Up Bones , and A Confession of Pain , the first two were novel length and I’m still working on Confession. However the title should belong to Leaning on the Edge of E , that was abandoned in 2003 and finished in 2022 for wipbigbang.

12. How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year? – Right now a A Confession of Pain and another Prodigal Son story for a charity challenge (and my original novel)

13. What’s your longest work of the year? -.points to #11

14. What’s your shortest work of the year? – The First Year (250 words)

15. What WIP are you taking into next year with you? – A Confession of Pain and the untitled charity one. (and the novel) I’ll be selecting an old abandoned Buffyverse one too

16. What’s your most common “Additional Tags” tag? – I don’t see where to check for that but I’m sure it’ll be hurt/comfort, whump and serial killers

17. Your favorite character to write this year? – Malcolm Bright and Gil Arroyo

18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year? – Connor and Angel

19. What’s one pairing you want to explore next year? – eh, probably nothing new at the moment as all my fandoms are older now and I’d done most of what I want. I guess the ones in The Owl House (Luz/Amity, Willow/Hunter)

20. Which work of yours have you reread the most? – - Hyperion’s Son overall but Bound by Fear if we’re keeping it to 2022 stories

21. How many kudos in total did you get this year? - 2,181 not too shabby

22. Which work has the most comments? – The same three I’ve been talking about the whole meme Bound by Fear , Digging Up Bones , and A Confession of Pain .
Did you do any collaborative works this year? – Ignis Aurum Probat ,

23. was part of a virtual Season 3 of Prodigal Son I wrote this episode but the whole season was a multi-author collaboration, the most I’ve ever worked with and it was not easy.

24. Did you write any gifts this year? – More than I can list so let me give you the biggies, What the Hex is Going on , The Aficionados The Anthropophagists Club & And Angels Sing

25. Did you receive any gifts this year? – so very many The Haunting of Fox Mulder

All In A Day's Work.
Some Things You See With Your Eyes . . .

26. What’s your most common category? – hurt/comfort, whump, casefic

27. What do you listen to while writing? – classical music, story playlists, forensic or cooking programs

28. Favorite work you wrote this year? – Bound by Fear because it was a canon divergent that started as a small story and ballooned out to this. Dealing with a damaged (physically) Bright was interesting.

29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year? – oh lord I have no idea and there are far too many to go back through to pick and choose, sorry

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year? That I have no idea why I never finished Leaning on the Edge of E . It was almost nearly finished when I walked away 20 years ago so the surprise was that I abandoned this one in the first place (but I did see where it went off the rails)

I love your list for Snowflake. It contains so many great challenges, many I've heard of, some new to me.

I'd still love to try intoabar one time.
