I could use some help. I definitely want to try and write something for that It Came From the Trailer Park III. I like rockabilly and I've been listening to some horrorpunk. I want to make this YA again I want it to be an all girl band (maybe three of them) and set it in Point Pleasant. I want to do a play on the Mothman name for the band.

But what I really am curious about is the other stipulation. It needs to be an ORIGINAL monster. So no Mothman, vampires, werewolves etc. (Last time I made a thought form). Now where I need help or thoughts are what kind of monster would you like to see? If you could create anything what would you do? (I swear the scritchy sounds of rodent claws in the wall are going to be part of it).

I'm curious to what others think make a good monster. Also horror-comedy isn't easy and I'm probably nuts. Hope to hear from some of you.

This bouncing weather has made my knee feel awful.

From a book I have read, horror is based on our basic fear: disease, death, stranger, loss of identity, etc, so you can create/modify monsters based on your theme. For example, faceless angels that transform any one in contact with them into the same can reflect a fear of losing selves through conformation.

Something with wings that'll dive out from nowhere (it still could have rodent claws).

Something that lives in/feeds on/ is composed of soundwaves? Scritchy sounds could totally be part of that.

I hope you have fun with it!

Something that comes up the drains/loo or seeps through the tiniest cracks but isn't solid/tangible but either a shadow/fog-like thing, or semiliquid/able to morph so you'll never know where it is and what it is and if that shadow on your wall isn't really the monster.
(sorry to hear about the knee)

Something that makes you feel like bugs are crawling all over you. Or maybe they are. o_O

I'm fond of aquatic monsters, living on an island in a river between two Great Lakes as I do, and there's a river in Point Pleasant, so perhaps something that slithers from the water? Or a whole cryptid culture? That's just my two cents, of course.

I've always liked the monsters you just barely see out of the corner of your eye. Also, the persistence predator, the ones that know they have all the time in the world, so they have no need to rush.
