I am infuriated with myself

My passport is missing. It seems like the real ID stuff (which I don't have yet) has been delayed to 2025 but I am missing my passport. I have NO FUCKING CLUE why. I know it was in my jewelry box. I remember moving it around. I spent hours pulling apart my bedroom. Did it fall behind the jewelry box? Did it go between the drawers? Is it under it? Did it fall in to the clothes bins on the side?

It's not anywhere. I checked my living room (as if i could miss that), my jewelry making bins. I breathed in all the dust I didn't want to in spite the mask and now I'm wheezy and itchy AF. I found my old passport in the file box where I knew it was. I'll take that with me.

I thought maybe I already put it in my suitcase. Nope, not in any of them. Maybe I put it on my bed and it slipped under. tomorrow I'll get on my knees (NOT easy for me any more) and search under things. I'm mad as hell. I'm a little broken. I don't understand why it's gone. I haven't looked for it before since I'm not flying out of the country and I THOUGHT I knew where it was.

So nothing got finished. Nothing got cleaned and I'm too mad to sleep.

I didn't get any hotels reserved. I'm so frakking upset.

so yeah no community recs. I'm too peeved to bother. sorry.

I need something to make me laugh.

Oh, what a shitty situation, you have all my sympathies! *tight hugs* We go through something similar with nearly every trip as Siljan always manages to either mislay his sunglasses or the car registration certificate (he keeps that in a separate wallet) or both. So stressful every time to get hold of it. The last time I found the glasses case in his job backpack (where he puts all the stuff from the office when he's not working at home) - I saw him going through it twice and onyl found it - and a LOT of surprises - when taking everything out of the damn thing and upending it.
I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed for things working out for you afer all! ♥
