Since my time is running out I started googling for videos etc to lead into the experiments for my 5th graders and...realized I have been doing it wrong all along. I've been too general. Now knowing I want pollinators for example I have found dozens of links (way too late to change my plan) so while I can't use everything I'm finding now I can at least get some videos, work sheets and free games and I'm running with that. That takes off some of the pressure.

Which is really all I have to say other than today was pizza night. I'm curious. What is your favorite toppings? Pepperoni of course here. I do love whole roasted garlic and mushrooms. That one I had in Albuquerque is going to be on my mind for a while. I need to try and reproduce it: pepperoni, sweet pickled jalapeno chips and hot honey. It was pretty amazing. Also the Skeletonwitch from the Avalanche in Athens OH is great, pepperoni, salami, ham, ricotta cheese, hot sauce and pineapple (i know I know)

I'm glad you found some things you can use!

I'm pretty boring when it comes to pizza because I don't like things terribly spicy and garlic isn't my friend. I generally go for plain cheese or pepperoni when I'm alone, just getting a slice, but I do like a veggie (need to remove the onions), ham & bacon, and white with broccoli. No sausage. I used to be able to get a ground beef pizza, but now you have to get meatball and it's not the same.

aww that's too bad about the meatball vs ground beef. A lot of the ones in my area do the ground beef (I hate the texture of ground beef so that's a no for me)

ham and bacon sounds good. It's weird, pizza is one place I eat a lot of meat but I do like a veggie pizza. I like mushroom but that's one you have to eat fast because they turn.

I forgot that, even though I'm not a huge mushroom fan, I do sometimes like it on my pizza, and pepperoni mushroom is my go-to for that.

My sister introduced me to ham and bacon and now I love it.

Yeah mushrooms are tasty but in like two days they go offo.

You must forgive me because I can no longer eat pizza (I no longer eat dairy or wheat/gluten), BUT I've had pizza many times and my favorite was the mix of deli meats i.e. ham, salami, pepperoni etc., and I love seafood so seafood pizza...and I was also a fan of vegetarian pizza! They packed it full of all the veggies, and there's just something specifically about cooked mushrooms and cheese together. Yum.

You know I've not eaten much seafood pizza (I live rural so it doesn't travel to me well). Veggie pizzas are pretty amazing too.

I'll be honest if I could no longer do gluten/dairy I would not eat the substitute pizzas. I've tried a few and they weren't for me

Ooh I don't think I've ever had roasted garlic on a pizza but that sounds DIVINE. I think my favorite trio is green peppers, mushrooms, and sausage. If it's just one topping, I always do pepperoni though--that one is always solid.

It really is. roasted garlic is underrated in general.

If you have bad pepperoni you shouldn't be making pizzas IMO. That's a good trio (though I don't like sausage)

(cooked) Spinach, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, pineapple, and mushrooms. (obviously I like these things in various combos- not all on one pizza together, ha ha)

If I'm cooking a pizza for myself at home, it's chopped tomato and pineapple. If I have fresh basil, I'll add it. If I'm sharing with people, it's always pepperoni (unless we go to the one pizza joint in town that has really great, not overly greasy Italian sausage which I will tolerate). It can be hard to find here, but I really love either Neopolitan style or oven-fired pizzas the best.

Tomato and pineapple is an interesting combo. Yeah oven-fired pizzas are had to find where I live too and often they end up burning them

I'm glad you were able to make use of a variety of materials.

I love fruit on pizza, of course, there is the classic pineapple which I enjoy. I also experimented with blueberries the last time I made pizza and paired them with ham and ranch sauce instead of tomato. It was soooooo good.

I love experimenting with pizza it is so versatile.

I've only made dessert 'pizzas' with fruit. The idea of blueberries ham and ranch sounds pretty darned good. I might have to try that. Pizza really is versatile
