TCM is showing my favorite Vincent Price movies tonight

House of Wax and House on Haunted Hill. Schlocky horror for the win. Otherwise is has been a very disappointing week. NONE of my online stuff is working yet. My super cute kitty scrub top came from Wal-Mart reminding me of why I don't buy Wal-Mart scrubs any more. I take a 2X or 3X if I want it baggie (which I do for scrubs) this is so small I can't even get it close to coming down over my boobs. It's a 3X that is at best a large. (I used to get a lot of cute scrubs from Wal-Mart but the sizing got smaller and smaller as I stayed the same...)


But in good news my Valentine Wolf cd came, Only Gossamer my Gown an Emily Dickinson inspired album and they sent it with some hand written bits of her poetry and a few other Emily goodies (and it came signed for half price right now)

Today we had the retirement party for the woman who ran the Welsh center and Madog Fellowship. A young man from Wales is taking over. I've already asked to make time to talk with him because I have plans.


Tomorrow I'm also attending for free the livestream of Stoker on Stoker: The Mysteries Behind the Writing of Dracula a talk given by Dacre Stoker, great grand nephew of Bram (and Valentine Wolf is doing the music)

Also tomorrow is my writer's zoom. I have that to look forward to.

Harvest House by Cynthia Leitich Smith, an Indigenous mystery/halloween story, pretty good so far.

Bittersweet in the Hollow - it's good so far, very Appalachian in feel. I could learn a thing or two about the voice of the place I've lived the last nearly 20 years...

The Bram Stoker talk sounds interesting. My personal take in Dracula is based on Stoker's mother having been an early feminist and Mina epitomizing the modern woman.
