How does time go so fast

I got up at a decent hour, got to Jackson at a decent hour, somehow it's then 2 pm, I don't get to the gym, I barely get time to eat lunch, come home, blink and it's 630 and I'm scrambling to make a corn veloute sauce for some trader joe's burrata/sweet corn ravioli.

I think I broke more of that bad tooth as it seems very much sharper now. Also it's beginning to hurt. Stage 2 of getting it fixed will be thursday.

I'm annoyed because I found yet ONE more thing on Friday the 13th, a forest meditation in Lake Alma but I can't do that if Mom is coming. And if she IS coming, I better start cleaning OMG.

How is it October tomorrow? I need to get my stuff out for Halloween. YAY.

Speaking of YAY, tomorrow I'll be posting up what is, for me, an exciting open call but it IS a hot mess of one at the same time. It'll revolve around stories inspired by Jethro Tull (exciting!) I even know what song I want for one of them (Reasons for Waiting). The hot mess comes in with they want both SF and Fantasy but NOT in the same volume (unless I'm reading this wrong) but aren't sure if there'll be two anthologies as this will be royalties payment and interest driven. Hmmmm. Screw it, I'm writing it, fantasy I think. No lie, not going to file the numbers off a current fanfic but maybe one I was thinking of (mostly borrowing personality types than plot). Speaking of plot, I don't have one. I just have enthusiastic characters screaming in my head.

Speaking of screaming characters, I have some of them in my head for nanowrimo (there's a whisper of a plot and I KNOW the ending, how about that?). Since nano is much looser than it was when it comes to the rules, I plan to finish last year's nano and then start this. Who else is doing Nano?

I'm doing a modified NaNo... only aiming for 25K words. And working on three different things.

cool. I did plan to sign up as continuing an older story but it was NOT listed and I'm like well then. I do hope to get 50K

Huh that's weird... when I signed up, it let me input my title and I just put in everything.

I went back and looked and it did the same for me. I want something cool where I earn badges, but I'm not forced into a word count.

yeah I was unimpressed and then they had to freeze all the forums and I've not heard a word since about that

I do wish they would have updated afterward. It was claims of racism and grooming in the forums. they froze it to examine the threads....and I never saw anything since
