It was definitely that pizza that fucked up my sugar. I finished it today and my sugar is way high again. I've had other Private Select pizzas no issues, I've had hot honey pepperoni many places, no problem, it's this particularly pizza. Guess I won't be buying that again.

It snowed today. Not much, just enough to be pretty.

I stayed here and cleaned and tried to write. Is anyone else struggling to write fandomtrees stories? I have ones I can easily do but it's like where is my motivation? Sigh.




Advent Joy
Day 11 - have a virtual coffee date with friends/family. Done. I talk to my parents every night over tea, close enough

OMFG another tisane for the tea of the day. Winter Wonderland Rooibos: green rooibos, cacao nibs, cinnamon and 'winter wonderland' flavoring. It was...odd. I didn't like it at first but it got better but I wouldn't buy this one for myself.

Wormwood - Susan Albert Witting not the best in the series but not bad (I'm not a fan of dual timeline stuff)

Blue Baby - FBI procedural (this was so misogynistic I was shocked a woman wrote it)

The Devil's Food Cake Murders - Joanne Fluke, ridiculous. I knew the entire mystery before the guy was even killed (I was right) and food everywhere, including talking about it in terms of the autopsy (did he get to eat Hannah's yummy cake.)

I'm not doing fandom trees, but I am doing an Advent story and yes, I'm struggling with writing it. Not sure if it's because I'm super busy with end of the year things, or just no motivation. But yes, I hear you.

I'm so glad I stopped reading the Hannah books after the first one. I had such high hopes for a long cozy series, but it was awful. I do enjoy the Hallmark movies with Alison Sweeney, though.

Is it writing or fandom trees in general? There's some 50 people looking for icons and/or graphics, I think? Hope you'll find something that suits you. That said - I can relate to having times when you don't feel like doing a fest or challenge. That's one of the things that are great about the low pressure/don't *have* to do things fests.

Thanks. In my case, it's nothing big with fandom trees other than time and the lack of it (even though I KNOW this thing is not going to open on time, especially with the diversity of fandoms)

There are plenty of prompts I want to do so it's a matter of time (plus I have a couple pro deadlines too which I usually don't have and oh that sabbatical)

Trust me, you don't wanna see me do graphics. I'm not great. But at least I got one of the stories almost done (I have do decide do I fade to black or go full on sexy)

I know what you mean. I still haven't manage to write down my current draft and I keep worrying that I might lose it on the way. But I definitely hear you re thinking that the more diverse the fandoms, the more likely we'll head for a couple of postpones, so yeah... could start something longer to finish at a later date. Or just write one shots?

Well I'd obviously favor the pro deadlines over the sabbatical ones. I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything goes according to plan on those.

Awww. But it might be *fun*? Could "just" do icons instead, otherwise. Yay on the almost done story. Maybe try three lines into each option and see which version you'd like to read more?

ugh the dreaded fear of losing plot ideas because there isn't even time to write them down. I know that fear well. I did get one story's rough draft done today (I'm hoping more of these are in the 500-1K range) and I decided on fade to black. I'm not one who ships this pairing and I tried writing for them in a different challenge...it's better fade to black.

Just started yours (spoiler alert but with as many detective fandoms we have in common that is probably not a shock) by smooshing stuff together prompt wise. That said, one of you original fic prompts lines up with something I've been trying to reinstate on my journal for a few years now with no time for it: the christmas ghost story so you may see something familiar just hanging around this blog...

I need to check that pro deadline. If it's in Jan/Feb I'll have breathing room. I've already submitted the two that were due in Dec.

Awww, that's so kind. You can do whatever you like with the prompts, they're just stepping stones along the way. -We do have quite a lot of fandoms in common! I keep thinking I should be able to write something for you but I'm currently on the outskirts of the shared fandoms you're asking for and I'm not sure I'm familiar enough with canon to do it.

I know the no focusing abilities thing too (which was half my issue when I made this post). Yes I've done a few longer fic because I can do some of it quickly (if it's my favorite pairing or characters) but I do try to do more shorter ones especially when all the empty trees start cropping up. fandom basket was a nightmare that was this year.


Eh I was lazy and only threw a few fandoms out there. If you wanted to do something case fic/day in a life of for Miss Fisher, Midsomer Murder (up to S13, Ben Jones has been my favorite partner) or Death in Paradise, go for it. (but only if you want to, no pressure)

If I do the ghost story I surely will do so.

I really shouldn't be writing longer fic for fandom trees because it tends to completely steal my ability to focus on any other writing. - Wished I could offer anything lovely and motivating to say, but I fear I'm just glad and grateful you're willing to try and help.
