cornerofmadnessSo many of us had a terrible 2024 and for a lot of us 2025 is cueing up to be just as bad so the less said the better. And no one wants to hear about laundry day, getting ready for work frustrations so let me slid right into the fanfic memes that I dug out of past years. There is one I've done multiple times that I can't find. I don't know what I tagged it or when I did it because it's gone (so I'm hoping someone in the flist does it because I know some of you have in the past, or hey I'm sure some of you will do a fun new one)
So this way to all the writing memes

Something I hate: liars I guess. I mean we all lie from time to time but there are those who couldn’t tell the truth if their lives depended on it (looking at you, politicians)
Something I love: learning. I’ve been in love with learning my entire life. I don’t see that changing
Somewhere I have been: London. I was lucky enough to get about two full days there and hit a few of my bucket list places (Highgate Cemetery, the Tower of London) and while I’m not a city person, it’s hard to not want to do all the things London has to offer.
Somewhere I would like to go: Lisbon, Spain would be nice. I’d like to go back to Las Vegas too

Hazbin Hotel. I DO NOT like furry fic and no matter how I want to pretend, Husk is a cat man with additional bird features. Angel is a spider. They’re both fuzzy AF. For that matter I wrote a TV headed man with a moth man and I’m still going wtf am I doing?!?

WHAT'S YOUR OWN FAVOURITE STORY OF THE YEAR? NOT THE MOST POPULAR, BUT THE ONE THAT MAKES YOU HAPPIEST?
Hope is a Cruel Gift which is a novel length Hazbin Hotel story. I’m proud of how I fleshed out Angel’s back story. It came together so easily and I love it. Hope is a Cruel Gift. Also the Fallen series also made me happy following Angel from being alive in the 1940s til today. It didn’t get much views wise but I like it so much (But I need to rework it and change a name)
DID YOU TAKE ANY WRITING RISKS THIS YEAR? WHAT DID YOU LEARN FROM THEM?
Fanfic wise I started two new fandoms (Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel ) which is always a risk. My novel was a risk. I learned I suck at marketing and nothing I do works.

I Felt a Funeral Angel feels the death of his twin. It went for nearly a month without a single kudo. It hurt.
MY LEAST FAVOURITE STORY THIS YEAR:
I don’t generally share ones I don’t like. But maybe I could count the Valentino/Vox things I wrote for challenges. Just not my pairing
MOST FUN STORY TO WRITE:
Honestly that would be my mafia horror original stories (yes there are two)
STORY WITH THE SWEETEST MOMENT:
For that pick up my novel These Haunted Hills
STORY WITH THE SINGLE SEXIEST MOMENT:
Silk and Leather Husk/Angel, is it the sexiest? I literally pay not attention to that.
MOST "HOLY CRAP, THAT'S WRONG, EVEN FOR YOU" STORY:
Probably Blue Red Gray. which has TV head and mothy going at it.
MOST OVERDUE:
Hope is the Thing With Feathers. The Owl House, abandoned in May once Hazbin swallowed me whole. I need to finish this.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT:
That in Hazbin fandom, character exploration stories tend to be ignored but I can crap out something sexy in 20 minutes and it hits 50 kudos in 24 hours
BIGGEST SURPRISE:
That I fell for both Hazbin Hotel (and have many bunnies) and Helluva Boss (less bunnied here)
MOST UNINTENTIONALLY TELLING STORY:
Probably the fallen series that pulled from my family history in some ways

The attempt to make this place pleasant pissed Giovanni off more than he had words for Never Forget
