Not much of a holiday
Feb. 17th, 2025 10:10 pmHard to be excited for president's day just generally but I'm off and I wanted to go do something but the rain the whole weekend was worse than I thought. The side walk is covered with creek sand and the entire parking lot is covered in creek debris because it flooded. My car is frozen a) shut b) to the ground. Luckily even though it's cold (only in the 20s) it's bright and sunny.
I had already given up my hiking plans by friday because of the rain. I like hiking in the cold but not when I'm knee deep in mud and now half iced over mud. I was going to go to Point Pleasant and shop around the Mothman but my back hurt this morning so instead I go to Jackson to the coffee shop and get a few things at Krogers I forgot and did the recycling so ho hum there.
Still putting off my research project. I am unhappy with myself and there's no one to blame but me.
I am, however, getting writing done and while my last two Hazbin posts didn't get that many kudos yet both did get comments that made me very happy and want to write more in both series. I also need to get off my butt and submit the stories I want to submit.
My parents are now deep into the covid symptoms. Sigh. Good thoughts are appreciated.
Continuing the animal theme for Music Monday, here's some for the cat (I'm saving tigers for another day). Come share if you dare.
One of the first ones to mind
And this was the first to mind. God I loved Poison back in the day
Sorry I had to
and have a Hazbin animatic on this theme
