Day 2: 423 words of "Turning of the Year" — started off the first scene of chapter 3 of spring. It took more thinking to do than the word count would indicate because I had decided that one plotline had been hogging the limelight this season, so I was having to try to think of ways to feature the other characters more.

gotcha. Ugh, yeah I know what you mean about one plotline/character crowding out the others. Good luck balancing them

I've been a bit stuck, both because of being very busy IRL, but also because of not knowing the next step of my longfic. I'd written a bit of the next chapter, but it wasn't quite working.

Day 1: Beta conversation that got me unstuck. Now I know where to go next, at least! That counts as writing work.
Day 2: Super busy, no time to write.
Day 3: Will be back to report. Must do an alibi sentence, at least!

Hi! Sorry I'm late.

I'm going to have to be a day late for checking in, since I'm generally still writing at midnight (three hours behind you!)

I'm doing a 1000-words-a-day challenge for the first half of the month. I'm going to TRY to do half early in the day and half later, so I might check after the first half... we'll see.

Anyway, I made my goal for both Day 1 and Day 2!

Exam week is always such a weird period of flux. I have more free time on the days when I only have to proctor one exam, but then I still have to get up in the morning, and I can't get into my summer routine until I'm done. Ugh. So, that's my excuse for writing a poem today, 122 words about the clematis in our front yard.
