It's late. I'm tired and just got a reject from an anthology (boo) but I have a head full of plot bunnies. Let me ask you guys this. What do you do with your wild plot bunnies. Do you immediately start on them? DO you write a little bit of it to get it out of your head and go back to your regularly scheduled work? DO you write down the idea in a file folder (You'll never remember the name of) or just go I'll remember this (and promptly forget)

Or are you like me and do all of the above?

I scribble things on 5x8 inch index cards. Sometimes a plot idea, sometimes a full outline, sometimes a character, sometimes a line that didn't work where it was.

Honestly I'm new to the phase 'plot bunnies' so I wasn't familiar with it when I started reading your post ^^;;
I hope you are able to get back into writing soon enough ~

I always have to write them down to get them out of my head! Usually it's just a summary of the story idea, but sometimes if I have a full scene rattling around, I write that down. I wonder how many have been abandoned, as once they're written down, they really are out of my head.

I have a "note" on my phone where I list all of the random ideas that come to me and things I see that I might use. I have another one full of all of the stories my dad tells about the past.

I usually write down all my plot bunnies, because rereading those notes later on (sometimes years later) usually either gets me eager to write or gives me new plot bunnies. If I don't write them down once they're fully formed, I'm very likely to completely forget them once my brain decides to move on the next shiny idea.

I usually make little notes on my phone to write them down or I will forget all about them! When I look back at them usually I go like 'wow that was NOT a good idea lol' but sometimes something clicks and I work it out.

I wish ideas came with an expiration date stamped on them so I knew which ones I could keep rattling around in my head for years and they would still inspire and which ones have to be acted on immediately or they go stale. I have been caught more than once waiting too long to go back to an idea and realizing I just don't care anymore (but it was a great idea at the time!). I usually just keep them in my head and do my best to judge whether it's just a drabble DO IT NOW idea or an epic 50+k soap opera when I can idea.
