Darla & Dru - 1800's Why We Keep Him Around

"Do you know what’s best about Daddy?" Dru lounged on the couch. "Thick hair. My fingers get all nice and lost."

"I would have said it was the lack of brains that makes him so easy to lead around," Darla said, pouring herself some port.

"I know you like things about Daddy," Dru protested, tossing a pillow at the older vampire.

A little half smile perked up Darla’s lips. "He does have a very talented tongue."

"Grandmummy!" Dru giggled. "He does. Talented other parts, too."

Darla handed Dru the wine. "It’s the reason I keep him around. Good ass, too."

 

Connor & Holtz - Quor-Toth - An Education

"Tell me about him again, Father." Stephen said. Icy rain pummeled down. If he was trapped inside he might as well learn more about the monster who had slaughtered Father’s family. Father had just begun explaining to him how he was related to such a devil and it was giving him nightmares.

"I’m not sure I should," Holtz said.

"Please."

"He almost killed me once in London. The damnable fog was orange with coal dust and Angelus is a wily monster. That’s the thing you have to remember most about him, son. He may not be smart but he’s cunning."

 

 

Spike & Connor - post NFA - Stories only family can tell

Connor sucked down more beer, red-faced from laughing. "God, my sides are killing me. Tell me another one!"

Spike lit up. "Your old man is going to fit me into an ashtray if I do."

"When I see him, I know I’m going to lose it," Connor replied. "Come on, who else is going to tell me about Dad?"

Spike smirked. "You’ll love this one. Darla caught the poof in bed with some bint vampire she really hated. Darla chased Angel all over the house trying to cut it off with a cleaver!"

"Ouch." Connor winced. "Keep the stories coming."
