For those of you who like the anime series Samurai Champloo, check out geekgirl Silvrethorn's latest story. I laughed hysterical (or maybe that was just my brain oozing out from making up my first exam this semester). The Jin/Mugen hate-hate relationship has never been funnier.
A note to Self -Real Life - Dear Dummy, when you're struggling to get your junk into the apartment and get the door shut and you know the outdoor cats are on your porch, CHECK to make sure Roy remains outside or he'll pop out of your bedroom and give you a stroke like he did today.
A note to Self- Writing - Pronouns are not for all occasions. When you have three male characters in a scene and you refer to them all as 'he' NO ONE will know what the hell you're talking about. And you, Hyperion's Son, yes I will get your next chapter done tonight but you must learn that you are not a script and some form of description is needed.
A note to Students - It's okay to not like the Steelers. It's okay for you to be upset when your team didn't make the Superbowl. It is NOT okay to overhear your PROFESSOR saying she was excited that the Steelers were going to the Superbowl and make, not a comment about the team which she could handle, but to actually demean her intelligence for being a Steeler fan loudly in front of the whole class. I know your name. We're just starting the semester. A lesson in respect might be in order.

Date: 2006-01-26 05:43 pm (UTC)Pronouns are not always your friend. Remember that.
Roy is Evil but he's a Boy Kitty and we know what they're like.
Students should be reprimanded with flamethrowers. Yeah, flamethrowers. Or a snap of your finger. *nods*

Date: 2006-01-26 06:55 pm (UTC)There's something inherently snicker-worthy of the sentence "or he'll pop out of your bedroom and give you a stroke." Especially when it took me 5 minutes to realize which kind of stroke you were talking about. [laugh]

YOU GO SCULLEY!
Date: 2006-01-26 07:38 pm (UTC)What you should do is;
A) Tell them to shut up, and if they can't stand loseing, and or, respecting other peoples opinions to the point where they must force their's on other people they should go back to preschool where they belong. And it would be for the better of the class if they did because the class might accualy stop smelling like human feicies and dirty dipers.
(if you use this i would appriciat that i was credited with this. and please tell him that he was just burned by a 14 year old who is 50 points higher on the I.Q. scale then he is)
.......... that was one of my better smokes. I deal with people like this all the time, i feel your pain. (i'm a bit of a minoraty when it comes to political oppinions of my age groop, and people who're anti bush are constently malling me because i support our country in the war)
B) If that doesn't work, tell him to shut up and grow up, either one would be nice, and both would be grand.
and remind him that he is in collage.
C) and if that doesn't work, ill lend you my bazooka.
