See, I disagree. Spike is very much a dominant. He had to control every situation he's in. However he is NOT as dominant as Angel but dominant enough that I can't imagine them ever being a couple. Once, like SPike claimed, yes and I'm betting it wasn't a pretty sight. More than that, no, because both of them like to be in charge but I'll NOT argue that Angel is dominant to Spike, or at least Angelus was.
