For two reasons, one I was productive. No really. I almost cleaned the office all up, got the scanner hooked up but in spite of successful installation, i can't find it on my system...., weeded out the dead stuff in the garden so come spring I have less to do (it's ridiculously hot), stepped on a cat and yet failed to make him realize that he is underfoot, typed up story stuff, graded a test, made up a different test, made up a lecture, read some books.

the other reason I've been quiet is pain. the ankle I broke last year really hurts. Took pain pills and they ripped up my stomach. I know it's time for me to get that stomach fixed but it's scary surgery. I know I have to lose a huge chunk of that stomach, have my esophagus reconstructed and face life long sequella of the surgery (on the upside the pain should be less and hey there would have to be weight loss which would help reverse the diabetes).

And cut for TMI I really need to see if I can make them move up my ob/gyn appt from a week from yesterday to NOW. Or I might have to go to the ER. The ovary is hurting again. Thsi is not a good sign and something is broken inside, probably a fibroid. I've been spotting blood for 6 weeks now. I'm starting to get weak since my hematocrit was already low then two periods in one month then this. Probably looking at a D &C at the least, a hysterectomy at worst. I figure it this way between polycystic ovarian disease, a retroverted uterus and fibroids, the goddess is telling me pregnancy was REALLY not wanted so a hysterectomy wouldn't be so bad. I'm more worried about bleeding. Not sure waiting another month is in my best interest.

go NOW to your ob-gyn. This is not something to play around with. I had surgery last year and they removed a fibroid that's been quietly benign for years, but had finally started spotting.

Do it. A healthy Dana is a lively Dana. ((hugs))

The only problem is the ob/gyn's here WONT see me. I'm new. I'm going to call back up and say um no seriously this is NOT for a yearly. This is for a problem. I mean I know pretty m uch what it is since this isn't the first time or the worse time but i also dont' want to wait.

Okay, now you have me worried. I have both PCOS & a retroverted uterus. No fibroids, though... Have you always had them?

they started when I hit my 30's. It'll give you something to look forward to and of course you having a child probably means I'm not quite as safe from that as I might ahve thought...

Yep; I've told you I was diagnosed as infertile when I was 20, right? Had Short Stuff at 24... Apparently taking birth control to force periods got me ovulating enough to get pregnant. [snort] Okay, so... I'm 27 now. Three years to look forward to fibroids. Woohoo.

And you're safe from having a kid... takes an active sex life. [ducks]

I didn't think they'd do anything for "women's problems" at an ER. At least, that's the impression I've always gotten.

Demand that idiot ob/gyn see you now. Please don't wait.

And I don't blame you for trying to put off the gut surgery. The recovery period is hell. I was out out work for 12 weeks and wound up re-hospitalized when I had my tranverse colon removed.

Well yes I AM safe in that respect. Sigh.

fibroids may or may not come, depends on how lucky you get probably

DO SOMETHING. Beat the doctor about the head, go to the emergency room, something. Now.
