Lions and Lambs drabbles

They thought she was a lamb, not just her family, but the people she’d see on the streets under the gas lights. Some would give her pitying looks. Others would whisper about Bedlam being so overfull they had to deal with the likes of her roaming free among them. But most thought she was there to sell herself, a sweet little lamb that could be led into sin. Drusilla liked them the best. She gobbled them up, tasty little tidbits. Let them think she was a lamb. Only too late would they learn she had the teeth of a lion.
Darla - Ats S3 - The Lion
Darla ran a thumb over her swollen belly absently, wanting this thing out of her. It had been a study in abject failure. She looked at the psychic healer’s place of business then started to walk up to the door.
“Stop right there vampire.” The woman appeared in the doorway, a decanter full of a clear liquid; holy water Darla didn’t doubt. She hated the people who seemed to ‘know’ what she was.
“I just want it out of me.”
“I can’t. If it helps, the boy will be a lion,” the healer replied.
Darla smiled. “Actually, it does. Thanks.”
ETA - is anyone else having trouble with LJ recognizing coding? I mean lj-cuts are a no brainer but it won't accept them. With little drabbles I don't care so much but I've had to erase story posts and wait for times when LJ gets its head out of its butt
