Spring Break!!

I think I need it as much as my students. It starts today and I'm not off to a great start. But the second lab practical is done. My speech on wound care and having a medical practice was a success. My grades are entered. Go me.

Came home, ate dinner early, felt very funny, almost drunk and collapsed on the couch. I woke up an hour later. I'm lucky I woke up at all. Even after having potatoes (a no no) my sugar was barely in the triple digit range. That's the scary part of being diabetic and alone, if something happens, no one will know until way too late.

The things I've planned for break a) writing writing writing, b) sitting for the OH license test so i can finally get rid of my FL license c) going to visit evil_little_dog who has obeyed and found me a bar for St. Paddy's Day (because sitting quietly at home isn't going to cut it)

So break! I'm going to get out my top shelf tequila and drink margaritas while watching Numb3rs

How scary! I'm glad you did wake up.

I discovered a new drink today (didn't try it though) called an Irish Cactus. It's 2 oz Irish cream with 1 oz tequila, over ice and stirred. Might be more appropriate for St. Paddy's day! (I probably won't try it though)

Yay for spring break, another sign of spring AND a break from your students. Double goodness.

Living alone definitely has it's drawbacks. I keep getting the Bridget Jones image of being dead for weeks and Alsations eating me. ;-) Luckily I'm pretty healthy, unfortunately I'm very accident prone and have spent time on the floor in various parts of the house thinking 'I have to get up, I have to get up'. Pretty scary. I avoid climbing ladders when I'm alone. ;-)
