Annoyances abound

Annoyance #1 - Students, dear students we have THREE days til finals. NOW is not the time to come and ask me if you can get a B when you have an F. My advice? DROP OUT.

Annoyance #2 - Oak Hills Bank - When a customer comes in annoyed because you freaking reset her password AGAIN do not direct her to the teller who won't even stand up, look her in the eye and then huffs and says, "Just GIVE her the password reset" as if you were somehow NOT going to do this and it's a huge hairy deal for you to do

Annoyance #3 - My Brain. Hey, i know you THINK you wanted to work in the summer but did you ever stop and think about other things you needed to do. No, I don't think you did. Now we're teaching zoology. We've never taught that before now have we? Oh and what did you do to me in the fall? Did you just trade one of my principles classes for another zoo course? Do you understand that you're not working MORE you're just working harder since now you have three DIFFERENT classes to prep for? Yeah, way to bone yourself. Well at least i'll be more marketable jobwise as a result

Annoyance #4 - Dear Medical Records when a patient calls and asks about their medical records but you can't be bothered to pick up the phone, it might be a good idea to use that call back number. Thanks.

On the upside, I get to see the gastroenterologist next week. I'm STILL spooked every time I get a doctor's appt within a week of asking for one instead of my usual three months waiting period.

And its raining so no lugging water to those damn tomatoes. Tell me again why I garden?

Seriously? Out of curiosity though, if you scored full marks on your finals (unlikly I know if you've been getting f's so far) what would that get you? A C?

I suppose that depends on how far into the F range you are. I'd have to do the math. Some of these guys aren't scoring 50%

hee. Well we do use those letters mind you but they aren't random. Serious I have someone at a 43% and wants to know what he can do for a B (80-89% range). How do I not laugh or cry at this?

Doesn't it also depend on the weighting of the final?

Wow you dudes are tough. B is def not 80-89 here, that's an A.90-100 is A+.

I thought 90-100, 80- 89 etc etc were standard nation wide (then again you're in canada right?

I don't weight my finals. I don't believe in it but if i did yes it would matter

not in my class. I think it's patently unfair to weight one test then set in on a day when they have 3 other exams and can cripple an otherwise stellar performance all year long

Isn't it too late for them no matter what they do? They stay, the keep a failing grade (or possibly pass by a smidgen), or drop out..and still get a failing grade.

no, they can withdraw up until friday without it showing on their report card but it could screw them financial aid wise
