I've won a few awards lately (beams proudly) at the Serenity on the Hellmouth and the Bodice Ripper awards.

Alla Prima, an Angel S5 story where Angel and Spike's past comes back to haunt them when artwork starts coming alive in LA, won second place for best Angel fic in the SotH awards

Old Bronze, a BtVS S2 story (also about art curiously enough) about the key to the gates of Heaven won second place for Best Giles at the SotH awards and also won third place for best plot, best challenge response-reader's choice, and third place for best het pairing at the BR awards.

Dead for the Future, a Project Paranormal story where Giles' old friend and new head of Council Benny hunts him down to let him know someone from their past is out to kill them (post NFA) won Bodice Ripper awards for third place best angst, first place best use of magic, and second place for best villian

and while it didn't win, Between Light and Shadow got a cool button from the fullservicefma's May competition (my first Fullmetal one)

I liked Alla Prima. I can't remember if I'd seen it before, but I really did like the flashback. I'm quite willing to believe that Angelus might have, once or twice, turned a promising young artist. Particularly if she was an attractive female. He does fancy himself in the father/patron role...
