My 40 year old Ostracizer bit the dust tonight. All i wanted was Bellini's to help break up the tedium of test making and well, it was the world's longest week. So I learned how to make simple syrup with Splenda, poured it over the decidedly not frozen peaches in the blender, hit frappe and the engine caught fire, smoke pouring out everywhere. Son of a bitch.

My tiny food processor didn't cut up the peaches quite right but I triumphanted and am full of Bellini's now. However, they seriously need to stock the LITTLE bottles of Asti Spumante here (okay it's supposed to be Prosecco but I can't find that sparkling wine here) But I shall do my best to finish off the bottle.

ETA - Mom called three times today. One to ask if I watched Dr. Who series finale and ordered me to watch it because I had taped it. Two to tell me the house wrens dad chased out of both garages decided to go under the BBQ grill tarp and build their nest there and Three called again to see if I had watched Dr. Who as ordered. I'm watching it NOW mom. I'll explain the regeneration thing to you later. Her and Dad are totally p.o.'ed that they got a new Doctor. They liked #9

Mmmm, Bellini's are good, I don't really drink because mostly I can't stand the taste of alcohol..in like every drink evar. But Bellini's are good and sweet.

yeah and me being diabetic that makes it a natural drink for me to have. Like making that syrup out of splenda really helped :-P
