more Birthday goodies

More goodies rolled in today. Some stuff from Flippy that she must have gotten at the anime con in Boston, a tin of peppermints with Roy Mustang on the cover and a little zipper pull that's his face. Cute. And some chocolate tea that promised hints of coconut. Well it was pretty much 100% coconut which is okay since I like that.


And from Mom and Dad I got two t-shirts one that says Careful or I'll put you in my novel and the other Have Students, Will Scream Mom told me I'm not allowed to tell anyone I'll be 39 since she can't possibly have a child that old. Dad told me the same thing but he decided he was cool with it until I hit 49.

I then had fun with the rents. Mom asked did Dad say happy birthday? Why, no he didn't. So they're both on the phones yelling at each other for forgetting my birthday until dad realizes hey that's not until Saturday! Then they started yelling back and forth at which one is stupider and then at me for laughing at them. Ah, winding the parents up, this never gets old.

Hey, I have 20 years on you, and I am still trying to figure out what I want to do when I grow up.....
Seriously, I think age is very much a state of mind; I don't feel at all old, and yet I have friends who were old at 30..

Usually my age is never a problem for me. I think I act a lot younger (in a good way) than I am but somehow this one is hitting hard
