It started out with the phone ringing about a half hour before my alarm. Sigh. I thought it might be mom since my cousin had a heart attack on friday and one blockage is impossible to stent. It was...no one. Just a clicking noise. Then five minutes later it rang again. Still thinking it might be mom I picked it up. Click click. Okay maybe it's student loans since they have a COMPUTER call me to tell me to wait on the line for them (like that'll happen). So when it rings five minutes later, i let the machine pick up and still nothing. So...not student loans. It keeps ringing every five minutes for an hour and a half (I don't take the phone off just because I'm curious to see how long this will go)

It's a rainy day. I head out and mama cat and her kittens are there. I feed them, setting down my folder and my messenger bag. I pick up my stuff and go to work...only then remembering the folder isn't in my bag since there's a book in it. OMG. Not only does my folder have the test I wanted to type up in it (plus the pictures I wanted to clip into it), it has a) the pen drive with ALL my lectures on it b) card reader with the birthday pictures on it....left on a chair with cats in the rain. I'm furious with myself.

I tell my two students to bear with me because this is what happened. I put the discs in that come with the book since that's where I get the lectures anyhow. It can't run the powerpoints WITHOUT internet connections which I don't have in this classroom. SOB. So I borrow the secretary's pen drive and get the lectures off my hard drive. This takes 20 minutes.

Later I'm talking to the EMS major's head guy who wants me to take over his students for anatomy. Fine. Then we start talking prereq's, and how I want to remove the reviews from my lectures because of those prereqs and one of the other profs speaks up and says I don't think you CAN condense them to just two days instead of 4 weeks because of the 'tags' (i.e. stuff we're expected to cover). I don't get it. WHY have prereq's and then expect me to reteach all that stuff? I need to talk to the heads of the departments since if that's the case, then gets rid of the prereq's and stop taking student money for classes they don't need (yeah that'll happen)

And then they sent the results of my x-rays to my ob/gyn instead of my orthopedist...hey I have a huge heel spur (this i knew)

My day was lightened a bit when my brother called, having finally seen the X-Men III and he wanted to talk geek.

I'm not even sure I can blame the school. this might be a state thing we're obligated to do (i.e. ordered by bureacrates without the first CLUE what our classes are about)
