doctors and schools

So I get up at some ungodly hour to get to the sleep clinic. The doctor said I only slept two hours which wasn't long enough to say conclusively about anything. I need to go back in the winter once my deductible is met again. I do stop breathing but not enough (so they think) to qualify for the machine. He wants me to lose weight (naturally), don't take sleeping pills (i don't. I already don't breathe right. How dumb does he think I am?), don't drink (yeah sure) and don't sleep on my back. I explain that I have a) shoulder arthritis b) blinding positional headaches that are making sleeping on my side next to impossible.

So, I have to go get THAT checked out next.

at the school, I did meet both the new guys (well guy and gal) and liked her a little better this time. They seem to be content to let me lead the pack which is for the best. I'm a bitch that way. I like to be in charge. So I need to get the syllabus done and all that jazz. And now there's a new webct that I don't know how to use. Sigh. I hope I'm on the top of the list to learn.

And I took the extra class. More money for me, more students to torture teach.

I'm beginning to think that being a teacher is a socially and academically acceptable alternative to being a dominatrix.

I don't know how they expect people to "perform" in sleep clinics. It's laughable to think a person will sleep like they normally do... in a laboratory. I know several people who've had to do it. It'd be cheaper and easier for the doc to bring the stuff to your house. But I'm sure all the repeat visits are nicer for everyone's pocketbooks. Well, except yours.

Yeah you know even coming to the house wouldn't help. The clinics look like a hotel room. It's all the freaking equipment that makes sleep impossible
