Change drabbles
Oct. 9th, 2006 02:19 amAngel & Connor - Post -NFA - The Final Change
There had been many changes throughout his son’s life and as best he could, Angel had been there for them. He felt it only fitting that he’d be there now for the biggest change of all.
Connor’s eyes opened slowly and he smiled. “I was holding on for you.” His voice rasped.
“I came as quick as I could. I’m going to be here until...” Angel’s voice shook.
Connor’s gnarled hand closed over Angel’s. “It’s okay, Dad. I’m well over a hundred. It’s time.”
Be that as it may, Angel was grateful for one last week before Connor’s final change.
The Trap - 1970's - Original character
“Ma’am, do you have change for a dollar? I need money for the pay phone,” the young girl said. “I need to call my mom to come get me.”
As the older woman came over, the young girl glanced back into the shadows of the alley as if looking for approval.
“Here you go, sweetie.” The woman bent down to give the little girl the money and got her throat torn out for her troubles.
Wiping her mouth, she looked into the shadows again. She had heard there was a Slayer in New York and she wasn’t about to get staked now.
