Kinda forgot to cross post this to my regular journal (not to mention it suddenly disappeared from the open on sundays board... Anyhow, there's a cool synchronicity going on since it's 80's retro weekend on the radio and I'm handed an  80's drabble challenge. I whipped these off in under an hour.

Spike/Dru set in the 80's

"Spike, he’s so pretty," Dru cooed, sitting in front of the tv.
"Dru, turn that crap off." Spike tried to find the TV remote. "My stories are going to be on soon."
"I want him, Spike."
Spike squinted at the music video. "Poison? Great band name. Too bad they’re all poofters. They’re prettier than you, Dru."
Dru whirled, fire in her eyes.
"No, what I meant is...you’re lovely, Dru." He got up and went to kiss her.
She jerked away. "I’m not pretty enough."
"You’re my dark princess." he got rebuffed again. "fine, tonight, I’ll get you someone who looks like Poison."

B/A with 80's music

She could hear Willow and her mom outside her door. Willow was asking how long she had been locked in there.
Buffy didn’t know how long it had been, spending the time snuggling with a very damp Mr. Gordo on the bed as Bonnie Tyler belted out heartbreak, stuck on repeat for hours.
How could Angel just up and leave? He didn’t even say goodbye, just allowing her a glimpse, to let her know he wasn’t dust. Didn’t he know she deserved more than that? Yet another man was walking out of her life and she was powerless to stop it.

Giles in the 80's

Giles looked out at the gaggle of teens passing him on the street. The punk look was back in. It was retro. He was retro. It had happened so fast, he barely even realized it. He needed to look in the rearview mirror to see thirty.
"Penny for your thoughts, son." His mother smiled at him as they shared a cup of tea al fresco.
"Time goes so fast."
She laughed. "That is the first step of wisdom, son. Gives me hope. You’ll be a fine Watcher someday."
"But what I did..."
"Wisdom will out, Rupert." she nodded. "A fine Watcher."

B/S with 80's song title

Spike limped home, nursing bruised hips and a bloodied lip. A vampire loving a Slayer was wrong, sick, and he knew it.
But this was worse. He loved her and she treated him like he was something she could stick some double A batteries in and toss in the drawer when she was through. No, that would be better than this. Her rage at being torn from heaven had to go somewhere. It would kill her friends. Only he was strong enough to handle it.
Didn’t she know how much it hurt him? Love wasn’t supposed to be like this

Connor/Faith with 80's song title

Connor looked over his shoulder as Gunn led him away from Faith and Wes. It was horrible strategy to send away two fighters when going after Angelus and yet here he was leaving. He hadn’t even gone full out fighting her, too stunned by the beautiful with how she moved.
Her dark eyes, full of fire, a tight body so strong her blows actually hurt him. An angry curl to her lips, high breasts that begged him to touch them. He went from resenting her taking over how to handle Angelus to lusting for her so badly he could barely walk. Wow.
