Today and Tomorrow's schedule

Eventually clean this house. I've had to give a test every day this week so i've had NO time to clean. Today no one showed up for my morning class and i was HOPING no one would show for the review for Monday's test (yes I'm that much of a bitch) but they DID. I didn't even get to jackson until 5 and I had clothes to wash.
While that was happening I went to Krogers because I needed bourbon for dinner...you would think they were GIVING food away. It was packed. 5 people deep even in the self-checkout lines which are usually empty. You can easily see what
scarlettehawk has been ranting about this week. I get to the liquor section (we don't have a real liquor store just Kroger which has a decent selection and Wal-Mart which doesn't) They carry every Jack Daniels mixed drink known to man but not JD itself. WTF? All they have is Old Dan Tucker cheap as hell bourbon. I leave without buying anything.
I go put the clothes in the dryer and head to Wal-Mart (because I'm insane). I need a shower liner for my new pretty shower curtain and real rings instead of the decorate hooks which fall off every time you move the curtain. And I need ciabatta bread to make stuffing. I get the liner and the rings and then check out their bourbon selection. Again, ever JD product known to man but no bourbon but Old Dan Tucker for 5$ a bottle AND some gallon of 'diluted bourbon' with no name. I don't buy diluted alcohol so I figure I'm only making mashed sweet potatoes with bourbon and pecans and giving the rest of the bourbon to
evil_little_dog since i don't really like bourbon. I figure okay i'll get it for 5$. if she goes blind drinking it c'est la vie.
However I don't easily escape Wal-Mart because i have to go to the bakery to get the ciabetta bread...which they don't have. Instead I get 3 rosemary french breads...and a sugar free pumpkin pie...and deluxe chocolate toffee...and gingerbread muffins...and pumpkin muffins then flee before I buy more.
So tomorrow
evil_little_dog is braving the traffic and making the six hour drive here (poor thing). The menu is as follows:
Appetizers - smoked salmon dip and proscuitto wrapped figs stuffed with Brie
Soup - Pumpkin (made by ELD)
Main course - Herb encrusted roast turkey stuffed with citrus
Side dishes - bourbon and pecan mashed sweet potatoes and roasted asparagus with lemon peel, ciabatta stuffing, bread by ELD
Wine - Dolce nigra, locally bottled in Eastern OH
Dessert - pumpkin pie and chocolate souffles
Late night snack - Popcorn with 5 spice powder and hot chocolate with cinnamon, honey and rum
for entertainment, a few taped episodes of Ghost Hunters in Ireland, and an endless supply of anime (because yes we're that geeky)
