Way to suck day

I could barely wake up and it was black as pitch thanks to a massive storm. That doesn't bother me mind you. However I yank open the cupboard door to get my cearl bowl (and the cearl later gives me heart burn) and whack myself in the chin. I'm bleeding everywhere.

I get that stopped and then I run over my toe (not the infected one of course but the good one) with the task chair and remove the upper third of the nail. I'm bleeding again. I'm also cursing.

I get patched up and out into the rain. It's torrential and the winds incredible. As I get into the car my wet foot slips and I twiwst my knee falling into the car. I end up wedged between the steering wheel and gear shift and contemplate just lying there before i kill myself. Meanwhile it's raining so hard the rain from the driver's side door is hitting the passenger's side.

I get to work without dying. I get to the hospital for my allergy appointment alive. The allergist isnt' keen that I took myself off all my meds (and have improved...) he wants me to start the shots which I don't think are warrented and he asked. 'what? Afraid of getting better?' Smart ass.

I get through the day. One class no one shows up but 6 people out of 20. I give them extra credit and lecture anyhow. Screw the rest. I totally miss that one of the other profs wants to get a pizza with me when I mentioned i was going for it (duh!)

I get home and the wind has a) planted the neighbors lit holiday tree in my yard b) put the cat bed in the courtyard c) implanted my wagon into the balcony d) left ALL the plastic lightweight planters alone but has crashed and destroyed the ONLY ceramaic ones. And then there's a loan company i don't know on my answering machine telling me its urgent i call them. Like the song I'm listening to dream on

If we lived close by, I'd brew you some lovely hot tea and make you whole wheat pancakes (sugar free, for the diabetic in you...) and fresh fruit.....

We'll invent inflatable armor for you, like those blow-up plastic cushion things with a pocket inside you use for mailing fragile objects. You can go through life bouncing and caroming off everything--inconvenient, but better than bleeding all over the place.
