I so did NOT think I'd get this one done and it was one of those that I had the idea immediately, RL got in the way and by the time I got a chance to write, the idea was no longer hot. I'm still pretty happy with how it came out. It's one of those where you think 'boy, I'm not sure this is what the person issuing the challenge had in mind but I hope they like it anyhow.' It was written for mrsdrake 's Ripper ficathon (which was a totally cool idea. I am all for more Giles fic!) and was written for Malora. Story requirements are at the end of the story. It takes place in the 1970's, centering around Giles, Ethan and Deirdre and an OC friend, Gemma and does contain some of the swinger life styles and blatant drug use of the time period. If that offends you, please find another story to read (note, this is R rated, no sex actually depicted but sexual situations are apparant). All comments and constructive criticisms welcome (you know what you can do with bashing and flames). Oh and weird as it sounds I had the devil of a time trying to figure out what he'd call himself in a third person narrow pov story. Ripper sounded dumb and Giles a bit too formal so I went with Rupert which still felt odd.
