More Holiday Stuff
Dec. 23rd, 2006 10:00 pmA huge thank you to
chelle86 for the extra months on my account!
Thanks to
ladystarlightsj and
iheartnickcath for their lovely cards!
And for
bashipforever a holiday drabble with santa sugar cookies, milk and someone being sick.
set in S3
“It’s really unfair, getting sick over the holidays,” Buffy said, working the cookie cutter under her mother’s watchful eye.
“Happens to someone every year,” Joyce said knowingly as she loaded up another tray with the sugar cookies to go into the oven.
“I wouldn’t have thought G-Man would let himself get sick,” Xander added. “It seems too inconvenient. I would have thought tweed would have been an impenetrable barrier to the flu bug.” He put buttons down the white swath of Santa’s jacket in the form of silvery sugar pearls.
“Everyone gets sick sometime, Xander,” Joyce said, patting his shoulder. She looked at the teen assembly line, Buffy cutting cookies, Willow painting them with frosting and Xander embellishing them. “Looks like you have it in hand, I’ll leave you to it.”
Willow watched Joyce leave then smiled at Buffy. “You taking cookies to Angel?”
Buffy shook her head. “He can’t really taste them.”
“His loss,” Xander sniffed then popped a pearl in the air, catching it with his mouth. “Edible ball bearings, they’re the coolest thing.”
Willow laughed. “Think we have enough Santa’s yet?”
“One more batch to bake,” Buffy said, casting a happy glance at the stove that filled the kitchen with a sweetness. “We can pack up a dozen for Giles.”
“And get him milk on the way to his place,” Willow said. “Cookies have to have milk.”
“And make sure we save a few cookies for Santa himself.” Xander grinned.
Buffy nodded. “Deal.”
“We should watch A Charley Brown Christmas with Giles tonight,” Willow suggested. “Xander doing the Snoopy dance will cheer him up.”
“Who could resist,” Buffy said.
“We’ll have Giles feeling better in no time,” Xander declared.
