So mom and I went to the casino and spent the night...we were going to use the pool but there were so many kids that we said forget it. I'm surprised at how many kids had been dumped there.

Gambling wise...not so good, not until about 1 AM when we found some really old coin machines that kept hitting. We were both juiced on Starbuck's high octane coffee. We both finally got to bed around 2 AM. Man, the next time I'm on a slab that hard it should be in a morgue. Damn. Other than that, it was a nice hotel room.

We did more winning today. At least I'm only down about forty dollars. The winning uncle went down tonight to spend the night.

A new fandom introduce itself in one quick bloop of a story. MIght even post it tonight. Sheesh. I needed this like I needed shot.


amusing - i got Dad smoked salmon and we were eating it then put it away. That's when Rouge the cat puts in an appearance, sniffing the air and crying piteously. Good luck cat, at 20$/lb you're s.o.l.

I have bad luck with hotels. Never travel with me. I get a peaceful room but it smells like gym socks, there's a murder taking place next door (why else all the screaming? heh), it's under the stairs or there's a rave in a room adjoining mine. Or it's haunted. Yeesh.

Casinos sounds like fun, though! Is it in WV, OH or PA? Or is it Cannuck? (I don't know what area you're in right now. And, I'm so sleepy, you could be next door for all I know!)

You and me both. I usually have the WORST luck with hotels. The last one (that Jenn didn't hook me up with) spat SPARKS from the wall every time the a/c kicked on.

WV, Mountaineer resort

I even stayed at one that I would refer to as a "hoe"tel as it was NOT a nice place and the rates were questionable.

Mountaineer. Hm. Haven't been there yet. Been nearly everywhere else in WV though.

There has been big news here in my area that Gettysburg has vetoed allowing a slot machine parlor to open in their area. *Rolls eyes.* I can see the opposing point of view, as traffic sucks so badly there due to all the tourists. I'm sure they don't want the added crap to deal with if a slots parlor went in.

Pittsburgh FINALLY quit fighting the slots and then plans to put it in the worst part of town. sigh.

Gettysburg has enough trauma traffic wise...reminds me, check Gettysburg's college to see if they're hiring.

I've been to Wheeling Downs too

stayed in one hotel that had a huge sign on the bathroom mirror cautioning me NOT to use their towels to clean my motorcycle...

The best Nova I ever had (which is lox, which is very specialized smoked salmon) was 40 bucks a pound. Man, that was tasty shit.
