Something that really bugs me

Last night watching one of my forensic programs a tv ad comes on stating that 1 in 5 kids will be sexually solicited via the internet. Today in one of my emails I get an offer for kiddie porn. 2:1 it's actually a site with legal aged girls/boys who either look young or are manipulated to look younger via computers but they're putting themselves out there are kiddie porn.
Me, I've no tolerance for this sort of crap. From years of watching America's Most Wanted, I'm well acquainted with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. They have a place you can report kiddie porn spammers. That is sick. That is beyond sick. That is... gah. I'm so glad I'm never having kids and that I was 17 years old when I first got online and knew better. Yeesh.

I'm lucky that both my kids now never to go to any on-line site if they don't know what it is and know never to give out name, address or phone number. My older one does really use e-mail; he communicates with his friends via im.

That's good. You know if they go to geocities they COULD get to it by accident. I know this because so many people have their sites up there and if it gets busy it shunts you to hard core porn. I have NO idea how or why but I'll be going to some BUffy site and get blasted with a woman doing a three way. Complaining to geocities doesn't seem to help

I think I am the only person on the internet who has never been blasted with unexpected porn! Seriously, I have never been hit with pop ups or anything..beyond the usual spam emails when I had a hotmail account..

Seriously I just tried to nominate my fic at an award site and every link had been shunted to pictures of women with cum dripping off their faces. I meanyou shouldn't get to see that unless you pay first. It was some hard core crap.
