cornerofmadnessIt's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...you know I always wanted to slap Mr. Rodgers even when I was a kid.
So I go for the yearly mammogram. Whee. It really doesn't bug me that much since what's a little pain? They had me sit down and wait on the films to see if it got blurred or anything. When she came back with the films in hand I knew i was screwed. The tech slaps them on the light box and says we need to do a cone down on this area. Yeah, no kidding. There's at least three denisities. Oh crap.
Well I'm not really sitting here panicking that I have breast cancer. I do have fibrocystic breast disease. Chances are all it is are a few fibromas (which still have to come out mind you). Of course they could be cysts (at least that's just a needle drainage) or worst case they're microcalcifications from cancer. Guess I'll know something shortly.
But oh wait, the day isn't done with me yet because you know, there could be more trauma. I go to the library and the librarian who orders manga says I'm doing an order what do you want. I say hey can you get more of Qwan that you got back there. 'i'm not doing any new series' (then why ask me) I point out that it's not new. They have some of it. Okay fine, more Death Note and Fruits Basket then. Then we start talking and she confides in me that they accidentally ordered some that are two adult for their needs and didn't know what to do with them (sell them to me...yeah that's the ticket). I try to give them a crash course in how manga works, age groupings and things like yaoi....
So clothes are washed, the library stuff is done I go to CVS to find out my needles weren't paid for. I'm livid. They can't find out why because the insurance company won't tell them so they give me the number. When I get home I call. Medco informs me they won't pay for it because i bought it separate from my injectible medicine. I explain that's because the needles are only sold in boxes of 100 (i.e. one and half months worth for a twice a day shot) and the med is only sold monthly. They are bought separately every other month. THey then tell me well CVS bills it as a monthly supply and tells me to call CVS and give them a number to call. I explain again that they ONLY sell them in a box of 100 how the hell can this work. She says they'll reimburse me and sends the paperwork
I call CVS and they're like WTH? Am i the only diabetic medical mutual has ever had. I doubt that. Morons. so they call medco and in spite of what customer moron #1 says, they won't talk to CVS because of Hippa Laws. And they further state that there is NO WAY i'll be reimbursed nor will they pay for it separate from the medication. CVS says bring it back, we'll open the box and give you some needles and refund you then on the 4th rerun it WITH your byetta and you just screw them over for a half a month's worth of needles because they refuse to see that a box of 100 is MORE than a months worth.

'you know you inherited all the bad stuff from both sides of the family. you didn't dive into the shallow end of the gene pool. you missed the pool and slammed into the cement around it.'
