OMG that hurts. I had my root canal redone today and it hurts. Whimpers piteously. He had to go through the crown (so now even my crown has a filling, my mouth is such a train wreck), drill out and dissolve all the rubber crap from the last time it was done. And he had the devil of the time getting it done especially since i metabolize anethesia very quickly. He put in something (probably epinphrine with the novacaine to keep the bleeding down) that made my heart thunder.

With the use of a microscrope and lasers to determine depth, he had to go all the way deep into the bone to kill everything but the tooth still hurts (he said this might fail after all but it was worth the chance) he also said the shots bruised my mouth badly. I can't even swallow. Let's hope this is worth it

I went to Applebee's for their 6$ endless soup and salad (more interested in the soup). I give the waitress a twenty and when i count out her tip i realize I only have a 5. So i call over the manager and even she still shorted me 50 cents. I'm like whatever I just wanna go home.

I don't know if i'm going back to Pittsburgh tomorrow or not. depends on the pain. Right now i'm on percocet and I think my head floated out the window. Whee.

Oh and it's one degree shy of eighty today. UGH. Too hot. But it beats the cold damp we were having.

That sucks, but I hope it's worth it and that it heals up okay. I totally sympathize about dental woes since my teeth are godawful as well.

I think they usually put in some norepinephrine in with the novacaine. It always gives me jelly legs.

and yeah actually the epi in the novacaine is a vasoconstrictor so that it minimalizes bleeding in the surgical field

That happened to me once. Scared the crap outta me. Thought I was having a heart attack. Then they tell me its normal. Sorry, but that's about as far from normal as one can get!

the tooth IS gone. Has been gone for 5 years. They killed the root then but i have extra special little nerves that didn't get killed and have been under the crown all this time

thanks. dentist work doesn't bother me but damn this hurts, then again just having your jaw propped open for over an hour is enough to fatigue those muscles

I'm just an enormous wuss. They'd have probably had to put me completely under for an operation like that (and they did, to take out my wisdom teeth - and those were pretty simple extractions for me).

Man, I'm thankful every day that my mother gave me good teeth. Mind you, she also gave me straight, too fine hair and no boobs, but the good teeth are an acceptable trade-off. Hope you feel better soon.
