Blown Gaskets

The first gasket blown was over the tests. I looked at the computer stats, the stuff they missed was uber easy stuff AND core to the class. Guess who's getting a worksheet over Easter.

Yesterday something snapped in my car and Yukio began to roar. I'm like uh-oh muffler. Or at least I'm hoping it's that and not a more expensive part of my exhaust. By a miracle Honda could take me today (which I had a day off for advising and no one showed). So...the muffler DID fall off just like I said. 250$. That's not bad. It's original and the car's a '99. However, the oil pan gasket is leaking (which explains why i've been losing oil). To fix it is 275$.

That blew another gasket in my head. WHY is a freaking gasket more than my entire exhaust? Of course they don't have either part (which i sit around for a half hour before they realize this). So i have to go back on thursday (another 80 mile round trip)

I go to Red Lobster to balm my soul. Acutally I don't much like the place but I had a hankering for seafood and it's lobster fest. Well lobsterfest is way overpriced so I get the lobster bisque and some scallops and shrimp scampi. I'm quickly reminded of why i don't like Red Lobster. The bisque was salty with orange oil on it and the scallops were overcooked into erasers.

However on my way out of this mall I see it...had never noticed it before because the mall is tucked off Bridge St. which is too busy for rubbernecking at the stores. Before I know it I'm loose in the Hobby Lobby with no handler to stop me. got more beads for me to do nothing with.

We went to Joann's Fabrics and Crafts and I found rows of beads...but expensive enough I didn't feel too tempted to buy any. Tradeoff?

Oh crap, everyone's car is falling apart. So sorry for the stress and cost... (but I notice that you've named your car too. Hee!)

And oh god I love Hobby Lobby. I'm a mad woman possessed in a craft store (or 'crap' store as Barry calls them). Guilty pleasure #462.
