It kinda feels like it. It felt like it even more yesterday but i don't remember much about that other than a raccoon ate my big ripe tomato. Curses.

Today it's just a blur, well this whole has been. Summer classes are like that.

Mom managed to irritate me today...not about her but still. Quite a few years back 2002 I think, my aunt's son by her first marriage gave me his email because he lived in tampa and evil_little_dog and I were going to contact him when we went to the renn fest because he was a fun guy who liked the same stuff we did. Well i can remember emailing him maybe three or four times total and either he's STILL telling his mom I complain too much or she felt the need to bring it up again tonight (pissing off my dad at me!) I'm like WTF? Maybe once he got an email complaining, probably because ELD and i never did make it back to Tampa and I think i explained why. Was that complaining? Maybe. To be harping about this years later, you know that really just pisses me off. And honestly tell me to my face, don't run around behind my back with shit like this. What are we? 5? One of my uncles did this a few years back too. After he asked me to send him the info I did then whined I emailed too often (Yeah because my 60 year old uncle is on the top of my email list) Dad's still yelling about this years later. It's little and petty and shouldn't bother me and it shouldn't bother them but they're turning butterfly wing beats into hurricanes. Well time to let it go or it'll keep me up all night

also speaking of complaining, face? What's up? We're 40 not 14. A line of pimples going up one cheek over the nose and down the otherside is unwarrented. I don't care if it's nearly that time of the month. No love. Me.

Also she caught the tail end of a news clip about the actor who played Sylar on Heroes playing the 'new Mr. Spock.' Does anyone know what that might have been in reference too? I thought I saw somewhere there might be a new animated ST...

I have the same problem with my face. I never had acne as a teenager. Turn 21 and boom, they just pop up out of nowhere. It's an evil plot for pimple domination.

I was kind of dissappointed with HP7. I felt that some of the chapters were well written and the rest...she just sort of gave up on. Sadly, I'm a Snape girl and I read it only to find out about what happened to Draco. Oh well. Hopefully the movies will be better...

I don't know about a new ST but I do know that sci-fi is bringing back Flash Gordon...it could happen. I'm not finding any articles yet on the subject.

i haven't read any spoilers about HP7 yet though outside of one or two most seemed happy. I still need to see the new movie. Next week i think

I've heard vaguely that they're doing a re-cast version of the original Star Trek. I'm dubious. I don't know if fans will accept someone else as Kirk and Spock, particularly if the writing is as dull as "Enterpise" was.

Enterprise was dull, wasn't it? And I think fans won't accept a new Kirk and Spock. I would not like it. Mom's already livid about it and she doesn't even know yet that's what they're doing.

I think the rumour is in response to JJ Abrams' new movie project. He's been tapped to do Star Trek XI, which will be a prequel about when Kirk meets Spock.

Sylar as Spock though... Not sure how I feel about that.

I understand a lot of people have reservations about it (not being a huge TOS fan, I can't say I do), what with the disaster that were the Star Wars prequels.

On the other hand, JJ Abrams is very good at pulling together a good solid story. So I don't really know how I feel about the whole thing.

I'd personally prefer the next Trek movies to be about somebody else, maybe part of the DS9 or Voyager crews.

I think going back in time is bad. Look at Enterprise, and there are enough fans that I think using anyone to portray the old crew will be bad. I agree I'd rather see DS9 or Voyager or something entirely new

Gah - I hate when people glom onto insignificant things they've typically overblown and usually misinterpreted. It's part of that whole "I must be from another planet"/"Who are you people and what have you done with civilization?" feeling I get on occasion.

Absolutely. I was thinking that myself. If they're still talking about that stuff now, how pathetic does that make them? And, geez, the one complaining that you 'whine too much' is whining about this tremendously small/insignificant thing all these years later - so wtf? The fact that your parents can't see that aspect of it is surprising and disappointing. Your mom is usually pretty sharp and cool.

I saw the report on the bionic hand before, it's awesome. It's amazing what they can do with tech these days, but I still don't wanna think about the stuff they're developing without telling us. Winry would laugh, she's way ahead of us. :)

*sigh* animals eat our garden all the time. we were so psyched when our tomatoes and melons and such were ready......and the deer ate them. Sneaky little vixens. I can't turn my back on those evil racoons either.
