I used to have a will. I lost it in a computer crash. I think it's time to make up another one.

Last night my sugar was high because i had had juice. One hour after I woke up my sugar went from 250 to 31. THIRTY-ONE. You really can't live well (read at all) with it that low. This time I didn't dream of [livejournal.com profile] evil_little_dog and [livejournal.com profile] ishte waking me up. I dreamt Tarran, a character from Red Skies, was throwing such a violent temper that I needed to get up and write him. Woke up covered in sweat and shaking and lucky not to be in a coma.

Today wasn't too bad. I got HP7 from the science secretary's daughter. I won't read it as fast as the rest of you. One, I have to finish a gruesome mystery first and all that test making stuff.

Tonight we went to the steak house for a farwell dinner for a prof who's moving to Pittsburgh. it was nice. I had lots of beer. yay to 24 ounce glasses

And speaking of Red Skies I managed to break through (with [livejournal.com profile] evil_little_dog's help) the 2000 goal and decided to roll over the extras to the new week's goal which did get lowered due to me being busy

Tarran's a tad cuter even if he's not real

Yeah for reaching goals. Now if only your motivation could rub off on me.

I still need to read HP6, i've only read 4 and 5. The books are waaaay better then the movies, I'm missing out.

i'm usually motivated to write.

See i'm not convinced of that. 4-6 as books impressed me not at all. 6 sucked. I was so bored with that

Book 6 was the first one that bored me.

yeah 4 and 5 only slightly bored me but 6 was a major snooze. I think that's the thing I've heard most about the latest m ovie (which i still need to see) that it was an improvement over the book since it tightened up all those areas that so desparately needed it

She really needs another editor. She must have an editor now because I've seen her acknowlegements to hers, but I'm not sure she really does very much cutting, probably because she's afraid to mess with an author that makes the publishing company so much money. But she has a lot of stuff in her books that isn't strictly necessary, especially in her later books.

And my god, she can't write believeable romance at *all*.

her and George Lucas in regards to the romance...

And yes, once you become a Rowling, Rice or King, your editor is sort of well...editor in name or something? Their early books are good but as they go....the slide begins

I liked the first three books. The following three didn't do much for me. Mom and I are waiting on DH from the library...we might get it around Xmas, we're guessing. *laughs*

nods, that's why i begged mine off a student so i wouldn't have to wait on the library.

but I'm with ELD on the books

That's okay; I couldn't get us BOTH on the call list for it so we'll probably have to check it out a second time. *laughs* How sad. *grins*

IT's nice to know somebody elses library card gets overtime. And the icon makes me giggle. :D

Oh, it gets its workout. Not as much as before I had the internet available, mind you, but where else can I get manga and read it cheap and NOT have to drive all the way across town to the bookstore to do so? *laughs*

The icon is shareable, you can go to my icon page and see who made it. I think its from [profile] domlandbubbles but I'm not sure. *grins* She has fun icons even if it isn't her.

I know! When you love it as much as we do manga is expensive! The library is about the only place around my area that carries it,(limited selection that it has) unless I wanna drive about an hour and a half to the nearest Borders. And they don't have Fullmetal! *pouts*

Thanks for the link, I'll go check it out. :P

Books in general are expensive. I like hardcovers for the "lasting quality appeal," so I've just taken to NOT going to bookstores any more...so many of the books I want aren't in hardcovers and it makes me whine. *laughs* Graphic novels have always been expensive - I remember spending up to $20-$30 apiece for them back in the '90's and that was WITH my husband working at the comic book store. Sad.

even hardcovers are made cheaply now. That's why i've joined so many bookclubs, cheaper books

Mmm...that is why I was part of SFBC but they stopped carrying the authors I wanted to read.

Yes and that's handy...of course, the mystery writers I really like produce like a book every three years or so....

*nod nod* I always forget to do that. I still have some of the books you recced to me sitting here on the computer desk to see if the library has them.

That blood sugar stuff is scary. Don't die on me. You're one of very few fanfic authors I actually read regularly.
