walking talking stereotype
Jul. 29th, 2007 04:57 pmHere i am in the Krogers. No make-up, check, hair pulled back, check, wearing ecology t-shirt, check, birkenstocks, no but only because foot pain is acting up and must wear ankle brace.
I'm cruising the isles. I have a bunch of organic produce, Nature's Path organic Zen cranberry/ginger and organic power breakfast cereals (which have more carbs than necessary but that's okay, breakfast can be my carbs since i'm too lazy to get up and cook), gensoy protein bars, gensoy salt & vinegar soy chips, organic milk, organic yougart, olive oil (3L) and an organic chocolate bar and it hits me as I check out, could I BE more of a stereotype. Why don't you just call me Lisa Simpson? I even play sax.

Date: 2007-07-30 04:40 am (UTC)It's a small favor that I give away most of my baked goods instead of gorging on them.

Date: 2007-07-30 04:17 am (UTC)Publix has Atkins bars for $1.95, which isn't bad for specialty food. They also picked up a line of whey protein powder, oddly enough. It's way cheaper than the whey powder MEM offers, so MEM lost a customer there. Soy screws with my metabolism, for some reason, so I avoid it. I have no idea how rice milk metabolizes--probably turns right to sugar, and I'd be better off mixing my whey powder with Sprite.

Date: 2007-07-30 04:55 am (UTC)I mix the protein powder with regular moo juice, and besides a little gas it works fine. Soy milk made me retain water and swell up like a blimp. I think it screwed with my hormones. I've avoided soy ever since.
