This is the part about moving that sucks. My mother seems to think it's easy and that I should be done. She doesn't get the whole it takes TIME to do this and before when I've moved I've had a few months to prepare not a few weeks.
It wouldn't be so bad if not for a) I'm not moving everything because if the college can't fund me full time it's only a 4 month gig so I have to pick and choose what I'm taking and what remains in storage here in my room
b) it's Florida. This house has no A/C so it gets close to 90 degrees inside during the day. I can barely move let alone pack.
c) I'm HIGHLY allergic to dust and mold (so yeah naturally I move to Florida). I can only go for a few minutes before I feel like my flesh is crawling wtih ants. After an hour I can barely breath so I need breaks
d) I've been here three freakng years (more than a year and a half and I start freaking out and want to move) so whether or not my parents think so just because I moved here in a car doesn't mean I can escape the same way. Especially given the crap THEY'VE given me since I've been here
e) I can only toss out as much as the trash removal limits allow. ANd sadly the humidity here has destroyed a lot of my stuff. Luckily it was mostly unimportant stuff.
f) trying to decide what to take as far as my parents' place to drop off before they too get destroyed (like my photos which are foxing and my autograph collection and other memorabilia crap)
Hell I had to take FOUR hours on ONE box of notes (granted there was about 6 classes in that box) to pick out what could go to recycle, what could go as computer scrap paper to print rough drafts on and what I was keeping. I'm so sad I can't have a giant bonfire to dance around before I go. You try picking through papers entitled, Characterisation of echidna IgM provides insights into the time of divergence of extant mammals," "The Hitchhiking effect on the site frequency spectrum of DNA polymorphisms," "Analysis of mutaion rates in the SMCY/SMCX genes shows that mammalian evolution is male driven," "Rho Proteins, mental retardation and the cellular basis of cognition," and "Kalirin DbI-Homology Guanine Nucleotide Exchange Factor 1 Domain Initiates New Axon outgrouth via RhoG-MEdiated Mechanisms" to see which you need, which you can toss and see if your brain doesn't start melting.
