almost succesful
Sep. 22nd, 2007 09:40 pmWell i was in two respects: I managed two of the three things I wanted to do in Columbus. Heck, last night my migraine and nausea were so bad I didn't think i would be able to go but i felt okay today.
Thing One - return to Greenlawn Cemetery. Mission accomplished. I was bragged to
m3sektet last night about my good sense of direction. It's been nearly ten years since I've been in there but i did find everything I wanted to by memory. And there was more damage to the cemetery than I was prepared to see and one from...acid rain? vengeful dumping of battery acid? it melted! I will post pictures soon (when i can go to work and use the bulk uploader on photobucket...)
Unfortunately it was hot. Excuse me weather but last week you were a pleasant pre-Autumn mid to high 60's. Yesterday for the Apple fest it was 100 degrees. Today was in the 90's. I overheated worse than I have had in years. The whole kit and kaboodle, chapped lips, cracking fingers, profuse sweating. hell I didn't stop sweating until I was in borders for about a half hour and after drinking the water fountain dry. and as
atpolittlebit pointed out Greenlawn has a wiki entry and hey, it's own website
Thing Two - I took advantage of the buy 4 manga get one free but of course Borders didn't have Chrono Crusade #2 at the Kenny Rd one but Sawill's did. So I bought my 4+1 at the first store and figured to use my coupon on CC #2...only to find four more manga I had not seen before and/or wanted so i ended up with TEN manga and a cd by someone called A Fine Frenzy. She reminds me of Jewell and Sarah McLachlan. I like her stuff.
Now I'm hungry so I go to a Chinese/Indian fusion restaurant that i saw tucked away near Borders. It was good except for the service which absolutely sucked.
But that heat exhaustion cost me too much time trying to recover. I didn't get to do thing #3, go to Trader Joe's and stock up. Sigh.
eta - word count for the month
looks like i'll hit my revised goal tomorrow
