I had to do that legal paperwork with the credit counselors and their online test. Oh are they hearing about it. Not only did it keep crashing my system but it NEVER saved anything. It was supposed to save and let you come back but it didn't. How many times did i have to redo that? Grrr

Mom's not fairing any better. yesterday, The new fridge for the new kitchen won't fit up the stairs, in fact they don't even SELL ones small enough to fit unless they're the undercounter kind and who the hell wants that?

Today she and Dad got a new big HD TV...well you know how DISH Network keeps bragging on their HD capabilities and how they're SOOOO much better than cable? Well she called them today and subsequently nearly told them to come get their dish and shove it someplace tight and dark. Dish's HD is a) 6$ more which wouldn't be bad but you have to b) install and HD receiever, that's a few hundred, c) pay 20$ a month to USE that receiver (now you've nearly doubled your cost) d) sign up for another two years with huge penalities if you quit them and e) only has TWENTY-ONE channels. in spite of what that commerical says....most of them sports channels.

i'm not resetting my challenge limit with three days to go. Just look at me fly (with help from ELD)

That's why we are quite content with our measly cable company Cable One (don't know if it's a national company or not). Better yet, they're extremely good on customer service. The only problem we had with them is when we got the cable modem for the interweb. It was still registered under someone else's name. That was fixed in a manner of minutes. Dish Network is nothing but lies. There's a commercial for CO that shows a guy throwing away his dish and demanding to have his cable back. I think you're parents should do the same.

We know the pain of trying to find a small-ish refrigerator - Barb's mom had a space that NO modern fridge would fit in, and she was determined to get one that size - finally she had to settle for moving the fridge to another part of the kitchen and putting the microwave cart in that box-space where the old fridge had been. I guess they just don't make them that size anymore.

Anyway, hopefully something will turn up.

I have my doubts about all satellite dishes - I've had friends with them and while it's nice to get feeds of some shows early, the lack of a number of important channels bothers me, as does periodic outages and the OUTRAGEOUS COST. I prefer cable.

she has a fridge that fits luckily. it's not getting it into the kitchen that's the problem. they WONT fit thru the screendoor in the back nor up the stairs in the split level house...

i LOATHE my dish. They tell me how much cheaper they are than cable (55$ I don't think that's cheaper), and if a cloud forms they go out. i've missed something out of EVERY premiere this week
