Set crew

it's been so long since I was in a set crew...and now I can't do the things I USED to, too busted up but i've been at the theatre every night so far this week. I'm enjoying myself. Yesterday though, the 122 year old theatre (it was originally a Masonic temple with underground passages, how cool is that?) was taking in water from the downpours like a sieve. Blech. We open the Haunted Theatre tour tomorrow night.

today sucked rocks. I lost my flash drive (no main loss, just a few exams that I'll have to change and my resume and stories... and all my lectures). Gah. So I put the lectures on my other 1 gig flash drive but that's too overwhelming to the ancient lap tops and kills them dead. Furious, i go the secretary and she does manage to find a long connecor for the net while I race up and put all my lectures on the drive we can access online. But I have to reboot that computer. It took that lap top FIFTEEN minutes to reboot. And it didn't want to pull from the net at all. The students were mad (understandably so since they pay a ton of money and deserve better than crap equipment.)

But to end on a high note. I'm outlining characters for Nano..

and this article which I got from [livejournal.com profile] sarakat I’m in awe My first thought was, 'is anyone surprised she's Australian?' (ducks a chunk of my flist). The second one was, wonder if I can learn to do that. Well first I'd have to be willing to drink beer in cans. I don't want to drink anything from a can... hang things from certain parts, well let me go stand in the cold rain and get back to you on that one. If you hear I'm in the hospital, you'll know what happened. snicker.

ETA - [livejournal.com profile] mjules is running an multifandom anonymous kinkathon. Go play. It's fun. Bet everyone knows which ones are mine even though it's anon....

I definitely don't have the mighty cleavage necessary to crush beer cans with my chest.

Why don't you to drink things from cans?

well mine are big enough but I'm not sure they're strong enough.

i can taste the metal the acids leech out of it and i don't like it. Theonly one i drink in a can is guiness because it has that nitrogen system to bubble it like draft

nods. It's bad. I don't buy veggies in a can for the same reason. I get them fresh or frozen excepet beans (mostly because dealing with them sucks if they're dried)

why do i see stitches in my future

well, canned veggies are also gross because they sit in liquid in the can and get all soggy. i like veggies fresh and crunchy; it's the only way i can eat them.

you're gunna try the boob-crushing thing? what are you planning to tell the folks at the ER if it doesn't work out? Heh...now I'm imagining what your students would think. Of course, if you managed to pull it off I'm sure they'd only like you more. :)

yeah, i like veggies, just not soggy

given how clumsy i am? I think it's best we leave the crushing to someone else

Wow, working in that old theater sounds like my kind of fun. Wish I could be there... (and sorry about your flash drive).

ha ha! i saw that news article today, and the only thing I could think was "who on earth dobbed her in??" - second thought was, "betcha the drinkers at the pub will pass the hat round and pay her fine"

dobbed in - told on, as in 'who on earth told about the barmaid so she'd get caught?'

a definite no-no in aussie culture. LOL

told someone about - better usage. usually in a nasty way, as in just to get someone in trouble.
