Spike (S4 s/p The Harsh Light of Day)
He had it all in that simple ring, and, like the fool, he lost it. He should have ran as far from the Hellmouth as he could. He could have lived like a king with the gem of Amara on his finger but no, he just had to taunt that little blonde bitch.
There was only one Slayer and she couldn’t look after the whole damn world. Why hadn’t he thought to wear the bloody thing on his toe where she couldn’t just rip it off? He never could resist proving who had the biggest balls. Idiot.
Angel (S1 s/p In the Dark )
Angel wouldn’t forget the looks on his friends’ faces, like he had lost his mind. Even when he explained the ring was too dangerous to keep, he knew what they were all thinking.
Angel tried not to let it show on his face, how much it hurt him, destroying that chance, but he knew it wouldn’t change anything. The curse was still in place. Why tempt fate? The gem of Amara meant he could have seen her on the beach in the sun but in the end, he would have been more empty for the broken promise of the ring
The Fanged Four historical (NC-17)
Angelus lifted his head from between Darla’s legs, hearing his lover’s surprised gasp. The night had been wild before they retired to their latest kill’s fine bedroom with its enormous bed and soft sheets. Angelus was used to it just being him and his two women but Dru had added to their number. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the short, slender vampire Dru had made. "What the hell is that?"
Spike caressed Dru’s head as she sucked at the ring through the head of his penis. "My dressing ring. What stylish man is without one?"
Connor (s4)
Connor slid the silver ring onto his thumb. His fingers were too slender for it to fit them. Hands, heart and what was the thing on the top? He didn’t know. What he did know was, it was the vampire’s.
The way it was tucked away in a velvet covered box, the pains at which it had been placed with what he guessed were his father’s most prized possessions, hand drawn pictures of two different women, Connor thought it might have meaning to the creature. Wearing the ring Connor left, wondering if he could use it to exploit Angel’s emotions.

Connor is a sneaky curious teenager. Really. Love his 'evil' plans for the vampire. (and the ring! the ring! you mentioned the ring! *dances happy dance* Come on, you knew I'd do that. *grins*)
