what a day

Took me forever to get out of work and get to the laundromat. As you know i sit in the library while the clothes wash. This time one of my students wanders in and asks what I'm doing there.

Me- Washing clothes

Student - boy, you have an exciting life, washing clothes on a friday night.

Me - don't worry about me. The obviously not quite right man from the halfway house whose doing his wash thinks I'm beautiful.

Student - laughs

Me - no seriously (and yes I was serious)

Said student gave me a half a HUGE bag of catfood for the outdoor kitties since someone had given it to her.

Speaking of which, Roy the Cat refuses to eat with his kittens (I'm pretty sure he's the father) and wants inside to eat by himself. Azmaria, the mother cat (she's a spazz, hence the name) is rubbing all over him and he's like ewww don't touch me (making me think again about his preferences)

So i open the door and in goes Roy. I'm yelling at him to get out of the house. Finally i get him back out and fill the bowls. Roy, check, Azmaria, check, white fluffy kitten that still hates humans, check, tuxedo fluffy kitten...uh-oh. Found kitten behind tv. Returned outside. And he's starting to like human contact. I think I can now get them to the shelter...i hope.

15897 / 50000 words. 32% done! yeah, i'm more than a quarter the way there...granted i should be HALF way there by now

I had a couple of gay boy cats once, though Del decided he was straight for Li'l, the dog.

Roy needs something. He's very uncomfortable with her attention but it might just be the kittens...or he wants a boyfriend. It's hard to tell

Yikes, sounds like Roy needs a ballectomy. I say we take up a collection and get ole Roy neutered. I'll definitely pitch in and I'm sure these other wonderful folks will as well (and it's a much easier surgery for males)
